Ok thanks… I think my current order will be conversion to a 23, and sadly I will have to pick another color too. Unfortunately I won’t know anything when 23 orders open (maybe next week). So I can’t see any reason not to order a 2023 since my order is not the ideal build anyway. Another deposit… maybe I can get a discount for two cars? Lol, no.
Don’t forget - they have to “age” in the cuatalon parking lot to attain the Mustang Mach E patina, then they have to sneak across the heavily fortified Mexican border. After that, they have to make their way to a mysterious rail yard in the middle of the country for storage for an indeterminate amount of time. Finally,, they’ll be on a cross-country adventure with Jack Cooper.
When I picked up my car on 8/4, my sales showed me this. He said they had just received it. Some here said this is when production should start, but doesn't look that way.

Least likely: I get the 2022 I ordered.At this point, it is known only to Ford a) whether they will actually start building 2023MY MME week of 10/31, but this is their prediction as of early August; b) how many if any, unscheduled 2022MY MME would need to be converted to 2023MY, but 2023MY scheduling is predicted by Ford to begin 9/15/22; c) when/if 2nd MME assembly line will begin production doubling the current 1700-2000 units/week rate, promised but no facts, yet. Fate (or transportation gods) will determine how many MME Ford can deliver to US point of sale before 12/31/22 thus enabling the US buyer to claim full $7500 tax credit. (It seems conceivable that "some" 2023MY MME produced as late as ~12/10/22 could get to the dealer location and be sold before the full tax credit ends on 12/31/22, e.g. speedy 3-week delivery. Just a WAG, but assuming Cuautitlan can do 2,000 units a week, starting the week of 10/31, they could produce 16,000 2023MY MME units in October & November, with delivery "likely" before EOY.)
