Hey guys, just saw this video come out on the new Explorer EV. Overall a decent car, and you can get a sneak peek at the new Sync Move UI.

I’ll save you some time. It’s basically an ID4 and is for Europe only.
The software it uses is actually much smoother and more detailed than the Mach E. I really hope they can stop using SYNC 4 and move to this software as it works much better.

Ford already is using Android Automotive in some 2025 gas models and I think it’s planned for the next gen EVs. Won’t come to the current gen Mach-E.

That new UI/OS is vastly superior to the trash in the current ID.4 in NA.

The haptic ID.4 controls and infotainment system has to be worst in the industry. Seems like they vastly improved and went Polestar-like (which uses AA natively and probably one of the first).

Not coming to North America, and if it did would not be an explorer… too small.

So of this one is not coming here, then what are we getting? I need something with a hitch. I love the look of the current ice Explorer.

We know Ford already killed the 3 row EV, rumored to be the American Explorer EV.

I guess they have to have something to fill that market.

Doubt it, Ford’s going small in the U.S. market. The skunkworks in CA is working on cheaper (probably smaller) EV’s for the next generation of Fords EVs.

Bloomberg reported today, citing an anonymous source, that the new low-cost EV platform will spawn at least three new electric cars: a compact SUV, a small truck, and an EV designed for ride-hail services.

That's fine but not everyone can use a small compact car, maybe after they are making money on the small cars they will come out with something larger. I have been looking at the lyriq and the blazer ev as possible next cars. They both offer a trailer hitch.

I have a 2025 star white explorer st-line. I also think the 25 looks great and is more "masculine" looking than the 20-24's. My third Explorer and need a vehicle that can tow. We're no where near thinking that we are ready to not have an ice vehicle along with a bev. Has like a 450 mile range. Downgraded though from a twin turbo v6 which was quieter and much more powerful , but was not very efficient the way I drove it. I can punch the mach e often and don't worry about getting 18 mpg. Yes, 25's have the latest bc which I don't use, and Android Auto. Is it better?, the mach e panel functions just fine for us. Not an issue.

Yeah the Explorers look great and the v6 turbo is awesome and the size is perfect not to big not to small, plenty of room for everyone and it can tow. I only tow a small trailer when I need mulch or other things for a project or my bikes plus I don't drive much the longest trip I do once or twice a year is 250 miles one way so a bev works for me, im hopeful with a little time the battery technology will improve and we will get the same mileage as an ice vehicle or maybe even better.

You can add a hitch to most vehicles.

I think Ford blew it when they cancelled the 3 row EV SUV. They made it very likely that our next vehicle is not a Ford.
