My e-bike order is ready and I can save some money by picking it up at the factory about 60 miles from my home. That might be the only time I need to transport the bike so I don't want to add a trailer hitch. Has anyone tried fitting a cruiser style e-bike in the cargo area of the Mach-E? Did you have to remove the wheel or anything?

I’ve not tried that, but my road bike fit in my MME with the rear seats down and the front wheel on. There was still a fair bit of room left too. I’d be surprised if you couldn’t fit an e-bike. Worst case scenario is you tell them to ship it if it doesn’t fit. I’d go for it.

You should be able to get it in without taking off the front wheel. I was able to get my ebike into a Toyota Prius Prime although I had to remove the front wheel. There is much more space in the MachE.

I picked up my Trek Dual Sport+ and put it in the back with the rear seats down, front wheel on. It's mountain bike'ish, not a road bike. Be careful taking it out. The front wheel caught on something and I lost grip and scratched my bumper. So, maybe a blanket or pad over the rear bumper would be a good idea too since it's a one time thing.

Most bikes will fit if you take the front wheel off.

I have two e-bikes (Ride1Up) and was real concerned about transporting them for rides. I found I can get them both in the back by taking the pedals off. I keep a pedal wrench in the car and l lay them down in the back (seat down) with a blanket between the two. It is slightly a PITA, but just a little more effort then a bike rack.

32 pound fat bike 17” frame w/front tire deflated. Rotated tire-bars 180 degrees (wide bars!). I moved the right front seat forward a bit.

2nd time in I took the pedals off.. An e-bike probably heavier, possibly longer. Taking the front wheel & bars off would make it easier though probably take two people to put an e-bike in.

Tell Ford you need a Lightning to review for a typical recreational hauling scenario video. If they balk, try Rivian. Problem solved. ;)

Specialized CREO ( Large) is 66 inches tire-to-tire
Fits fine with Front wheel angled as shown above

To make life easier:
I had a trunk liner from another car
Slides nicely on Mach-E liner
Moving truck blanket on top
Lay the Back wheel IN and just slide the bike into place
To remove Grab Handlebar and Pull/slide the Bike Out

I would guess if one took the handlebars off and possibly removed the front wheel that it would fit fine.

Yeah it’s not a quick release front wheel on the RadRunner plus at least, it’s got the fat tires
