Hi
What is the op's issue with the wireless charging? Mine works fine on my oneplus 9 pro in its case, but it gets a bit hot, yes.
Is that the issue, the heating?

Smaller phones move around and stop charging.

Thanks for sharing. I tried this one, and it didn't work for me. It is a little thicker than I would expect, and I got the initial charge indicator. I couldn't find placement that would keep the charge stable.
This was my first attempt to mod this issue. I can't seem to find stable placement anywhere without the magnet.
That sucks. It had potential. The mod I did works pretty good. No issues so far. But, it’s a bit of work to put the magnets in the cover.

And big ones too. Mine is an iPhone 16 Pro Max, I bought a cable because it couldn’t sustain a wireless connection

Hey everyone,

I’m aware that there are solutions to fix the wireless charging issue on our Mach-Es ranging from 3D print holders with a magsafe charger to fully built TWARPS

While the solutions, like TWARPS, were quite expensive, costing around $100 or too specifically custom that could be not as easy.

However, I’ve come up with a more affordable and pretty easy solution for $10 (2 magnet sets for $10). Simply attach the magsafe magnets to the rubber mat, and voila! The wireless charging issue is resolved.

3-Piece Set: https://a.co/d/52yX9fF

Here’s how it turned out for me! I had some plastic holders from a different MagSafe magnets set that I used to make it look aesthetically pleasing, but it’s completely unnecessary, if you don’t wanna do it.

What is wrong in using the USB port for charging. You can charge it as you use it for music, audible books, or GPS.

Don’t like plugging in and out every small drive. (The reason why Ford or any manufacturer actually puts a wireless charging pad)

And if need a soln this is a rather cheap one than 3D printing or apple magsafe charger etc. Hope everyone gets what they want!

I revisit this after lifting my volcanically hot phone of the charger earlier.

So, if I buy the magnets suggested in the op, and place one on top of the stock charging mat, the heating will stop? Or am I misinterpreting this?

I’m not sure if it helps with the heat. The objective of this thread is to keep the phone from sliding around that causes it to stop charging.
I honestly haven’t seen any overheating in a while. It might help. I think it’s worth a try.

Worked well in my car. Have not left the phone on long term to check heat.
my problem is tat I keep leaving the phone in the car since I was used to just leaving it on my pocket. ?‍♂

I thought this was an issue as well. Then I purchased a replacement mat which was more rubber surface and kept my iPhone ProMax from slipping. Now if I leave it for 30 seconds it will start and stay charging.
I tried the MagSafe magnet on the tray but none were thin enough to allow consistent wireless charging. Your links only work in the US Amazon store and I don’t know the name of the item to search my country’s Amazon store (Amazon is really annoying this way).

Just got my Mach E Monday and I had the same phone (iPhone 16 Pro Max) and mine works by rotating it 180 degrees rather than laying it the way I would use it. That may depend on what case people use, but is a potential free solution.

I am going to try this with my Galaxy S25+. Can't hurt. Will let you know if it made a difference.

Update: still hit or miss. It is better than having it normal but does not always work.

Tried this MagSafe sticker and it also was hit or miss. I finally picked up the MagSafe adapter from TWarp. It works perfectly (requires original mat underneath) and charges two phones but not two Max/Ultra phones. It’s too narrow at the top for two larger phones. Could never get the built-in wireless charging pad to work reliably and when it did charge the phone would overheat. This TWarp is amazing and I’m going to have the MME for at least another five years. Glad to be rid of this frustration.

2024 GT here, I was not able to charge my iPhone 16 pro max in ESR (i think) case. The center divider and camera bump on the case would not let me sit the phone flat enough to get decent contact with the wireless pad. I pulled the pad and confirmed the phone would charge, but would not stay in position while driving.

I picked up one these:

BestEvMod for Mustang Mach E Center Console Organizer with Phone Charge Area, Mobile Charge Area Tray, Center Console Storage Box for Mach E 2021-2024 Interior Accessories (Black) https://a.co/d/dLUHQzu

It’s made of silicone and the left side is perfect fit for the phone, holding it securely over the charging pad. The left side has a slight wave in it, might work itself out with temperature, but is acceptable as is. Obviously you can only fit one phone, but the extra compartments keep things from sliding around. Worth the money IMHO
