Ford App - New Start/Stop button

That's unfortunate! I'm using Android 15. Maybe it's an IOS thing? My guess is that it's the app and not that your MME is '24...? Maybe some of our Apple users could let you know what they have/see and also get some additional feedback from other Android users who have a '24.

Hi, I have a 21 and I'm on Android and I also have no climate control, only the fan spinning but in the app in departure time I can set the fan funktion to chilling, medium, warm or off but no temperature settings ?

There are iOS users who have the climate controls in the FP app. The car has to be at required minimum software levels and the controls need to be activated on the server side for a given VIN. Not much any of us can do about the server side. ??

It seems from others in this thread that this is likely related to what OTA updates you don't have.

This new start/stop button showed up today on the upper right. All it seems to do is force charge to 100%…and override my 90% setting. Anyone know of any other purpose.

Was hopeful to get climate controls on the app, but nothing yet and no car updates since purchase of this 2024 MME.

Here in Denmark we have different prices on power throughout the day so when my car is plugged in I can stop the charging when the price is high and start it again when pris is low and that way save some money ?

Maybe you haven’t noticed yet, but if you stop the charge with that button, it will start back up after a short period unless you unplug.

I did experience it once - the only time I used it. I parked at the airport on a charger and since I had not charged there yet, there was no location for which to set a charge limit. I figured no problem, I’ll stop the charge when I get to my destination. I stopped it at 90%, but when I returned to the airport, I found the car at 100%. I don’t know how much time elapsed before charging resumed.
Others on the forum have also reported seeing this.

Just to add, wife's late build MY22 Mach-E Premium finally got climate controls in-app for remote start on 4/3/25 when her car finally received 10.1.1. As others have pointed out, it has to be OTA related because I'm on FP beta on my iPhone while my wife isn't, and I also have an android tablet not on beta, all three have remote climate controls.

Just to add, wife's late build MY22 Mach-E Premium finally got climate controls in-app for remote start on 4/3/25 when her car finally received 10.1.1. As others have pointed out, it has to be OTA related because I'm on FP beta on my iPhone while my wife isn't, and I also have an android tablet not on beta, all three have remote climate controls.

It is not only related to software levels in the car. The necessary software was released last fall and the first VINs started showing the climate controls in their FP apps shortly after. In addition to a minimum set of software revision levels, there needs to be some manipulation of variables on the server side. My 2024 has no software pending in FDRS and it does not have the climate controls in its FP app. ??

Okay, maby it's because it was on a public charge ? Because I only use it on my own home charger and there it does not start by itself unless it reach into my preset charging timer.

I had a ‘21 and never had the climate controls. Figured for sure I’d have them with the ‘24. Still no controls.

That said, I almost never am able to actually use the start climate settings. I have a detached garage about 25’ from the house, and often the fan just spins without ever actually starting the climate. Suggestions how to resolve this? Would love ideas. (Is this WiFi, Bluetooth or cell connection, for example, to help narrow the issue? Have a wifi extender at the closest point in the house to the garage, but no help there, for example.)

try turning off wifi on your phone and using cellular..

When you tap the Stop charging button in the top right it will pause charging for 8 hours. Charging will automatically resume after 8 hours if the car is still plugged in.
