Simply put....you dont want to keep a steady speed unless you are on totally flat terrain. There is a technique for hills and mountains that can minimize waste.
My best efficiency in my SUV is on highways in cruise control i.e. steady speed - wow lot to learn. I get the terrain thing - its the same with ICE vehicles too - where in even with cruise control, going uphill on hot days burns more fuel.

I do not see what makes some other rando on the internet inherently a reliable source.

EPA is the only thing I'm going to truly compare, as it's actually a standard.

So will the vast majority of mainstream buyers. In short, having to baby the vehicle just ain't gonna fly with most people.

Why would I consider a clickbaity blog a reliable source?

Again, the only thing I will ever compare is EPA ranges (or WLTP, in regions) because those are actually standardized.

So would I - so I use the data from my actual EV, which you asserted was not accurate.

Since there is no standardized test for the "real world" you can't have what you want. It's all good, that happens to all of us.
