Really liking the Climate option now that our NC weather is closing in on 90? When I pull in the driveway, I lower the temp and increase fan settings before turning car off. That way when activated via the App it cranks up on hi cool?

I use Trip planner all the time to search for an address then send it (or a route with multiple waypoints) to the car. Is that possible with this update?

I prefer the OEM nav to Apple Maps of Gooo Maps.

Vehicle is showing as “on” since the app update, has been driven twice today for a few minutes. Also not updating vehicle location, showing me my home address but I have been gone since 6am this morning. Using an iPhone.. anyone have any suggestions?

95% of the complaints are people just not knowing where to find things in the app or people bitching about the awful trip planner. The only legit complaint even though I don’t agree with it is the trip planner removal. People who need this should roll back their device and use the old app.

If you are missing buttons or links just clear cash or delete the app and reinstall its fixed in seconds.

The ford pass has an V5 and really modern and smooth. Lot of promise.

Every once in a while Ford looks like they’re really trying to improve the ownership experience. Probably just an optical dillusion?

I noticed an issue with this calculation for how long it will take to charge.
As you can see in the attached, my vehicle is at 75%, initially set to charge to 85% by 7:12 PM and when I change to 100% because I’m going on a long trip tomorrow, the recalculated completion time is still 7:12 PM

Old app is no longer available. I’ve tried to clear the cache, but you are not able to do this on the iPhone version. I “offloaded” the app, but my vehicle location is still not updating and still shows status as “on” when it’s been parked and off for hours. Can you confirm deleting and reinstalling with fix this? I’m not sure I remember my app password, I worry I’ll be completely locked out after reinstall

I called FP and they verified that there is a known bug with accessing the maps and are working on a fix. So unfortunately you are mistaken.

There are minor bugs in all software. Notice I said “95%” so what was I mistaken about exactly. And I don’t argue with peoples opinion or personal preference like the trip planner which is objectively bad at what it’s supposed to do compared directly to competitors. But I literally said that’s a legitimate complaint for certain people and they should get it back.

Unless the known bug is “user error”! (Just a little levity - glad I really do not use FP although mine seems to be OK)

Dumb Question because I already upgraded, how can I downgrade to previous version to get the trip planner back…

You use to be able to do that, but now thats officially out, you cant go back. (if you upgraded to 5.0)

Nice cleaner look. I see a fan blade on the menu, and when I clicked it says "Starting Climate" . First time it failed. The next time said climate on till 10:53 am (on for about 13 minutes). Does anyone know how this works? Or where to find the details on how to use. For example, does the MME interior A/C turn on and run for a TbD amount of time. How do you set the time period? The A/C "target" temperature (climate)? If works this way, seems like a useful feature, shortcut here in AZ.
Maybe a doggy mode similar to TESLAs coming soon?

If you go into the car settings, under remote start you can set how the climate works when you click that button. There are a couple settings.
