UPDATE:
A Ford field service engineer has been sent to assist my dealer in diagnostics! Ugggg, you'd think on the 3rd attempt this would be automatic. It's likely wiping away a little profit from my MME's sale. The naughtly PCA/FC/ACC gremlin doesn't want to play nicely!
Same thing I’ve been told. This is trip three week 2. Last Friday they told me the engineer would be assisting. Haven’t received an update this week but from what I can tell it hasn’t been driven so I’m not sure anything been done yet. Usually they drive it to see if the fault will reappear.

Ok quick update. Had my car about a week. NO FAULTS. No, it's not time to celebrate as I've gone this long before. However, I wanted to give an interim update.

What the dealer did differently in this case was to fix a fault with the ABS system (after of course doing all the other steps everyone has gone over ad nauseam). Anyone with an issue may want to suggest looking into it if their car is still at the dealer and they're unsure what else to do.
Sorry to quote myself, but the fault BRIEFLY came up today as I was approaching a stop sign. It lasted just a few seconds and went away, never came back.

However, it's too soon to celebrate--clearly. Will update when I know more.

Now the my fault light is on permanently, and I can't use Blue Cruise or regular Adaptive Cruise at all. It goes in next week. *fingers crossed*

Hi and welcome to the growing club with this complex problem! You need to expect at least 3 service attempts and no guarantee it will be fixed.

UPDATE: There is no update for me... RedStorm is sitting in the electrical service area... no EV tech today and looks like no Ford field engineer has dropped by yet! [On a corp. flight from Dearborn?] I'll just drive my exhilarating Camry over the weekend, ha!

Damn. I just got this error. And now I’m gonna have to read this thread with over 270 posts…

Can someone give me the TL/DR version?

In my case, this post is a decent summary

Yeah and it's probably pretty obvious, but I'm basically on a one-person mission to force Ford to root cause solve this issue! That's why I'm sharing every little detail I can here, just in case there is some clue or hint.

Summary so far so those new to the thread don't necessarily have to go back,

  • IMPB replaced - Nope
  • Reset / re-align - Nope
  • IMPA replaced - Nope
  • Reset / re-align (again) - Nope
  • Update every module (to latest in FDRS, I assume) - Nope
Since that post, I've received the message most consistently in the mornings when first starting the vehicle. This occurs approximately every 2nd or 3rd morning (e.g., not necessarily every day).

From my experience, and what I can see of other folk's experience, once you start receiving the fault, it usually progressively gets worse / more often until it stays on constantly.

I think a Poll is in order at this point! It's not a matter of if you'll get this error, it's when! Uggggg... Is there any Ford engineer that can fix this? Anyone? It's how Ford steps up to address this big issue that will define my continued loyalty to this new brand!

In the UK I often get this message, but only in winter….well the other day. Is it Fall you across the pond people call it.

I get an extra message with it…Clean WindScreen….(WindShield).

In the UK, on a cold morning, condensation builds up on the inside of the glass by the camera, and it throws this message.

Im probably way off the issue here (As I can’t be arsed reading the entire thread) but thought I’d drop this in just in case….

Update:
Yesterday we were on the freeway for 240 miles using adaptive cruise. After 7 weeks in service, getting new IPMA and all the updates, the faults have recurred. Adaptive cruise kicks off, pre-collision assist fault messages, front camera fault messages. . . . Called my service advisor this morning, and he was able to pull up the fault history for yesterday remotely. Apparently there were many other faults all triggered together that did not show up for me in the car, because he said he’d never seen so many faults from one day in a car before.
Well, I now have a case number with Ford. Their technical team has been in contact with my service advisor, and they claim these guys are a step up from the engineers that were helping earlier. I have a new appointment for visit number two. There's one new issue that has cropped up after they worked on it: now the alarm randomly is going off stating a door has been opened. It's never happened before, but now it's happened twice in the six days I've had the car back.

For me, the faults started appearing after the final BC OTA. The OTA claimed success yet BC did not function. The faults were intermittent (lasting for only a few minutes at a time) so I drove it like that for 3 months. Ford then issued a bulletin for the issue which stated there was a software patch. Unfortunately my car was past it's warranty by that point but the dealer notice they started but had yet to successfully complete the 21G01 CSP so he recommended that I let them try that one more time and by default it will allow the software updates for the cameras since the affected modules are all the same.

So, now BC works....when the camera works of course. I still get the faults so the updated software did not correct the issue. May have made things less frequent but they still occur.

At first I suspected the faults were heat related since it was summertime and they only appeared during the middle of the day. But now it's cooler and the faults remain (although less frequent it appears...). I sometimes get the fault in the evenings which is a fairly new behavior.

I don't know the exact date that the final BC was applied to my car OTA, but it was around early June, and that's when all this started for me. I did play with BlueCruise a little bit right after it installed, and it did work for me at that time. I have informed everyone that will listen that I believe it must have something to do with the appearance of BlueCruise. For me, each instance only lasts about sixty seconds, and then clears itself and allows me to re-engage adaptive cruise. It has not stuck permanent for me yet.

I just got this for the first time today and I’ve been rocking BC for about 6mos now. No abnormal weather conditions here: a nice cool fall day.

So far the people that are having "Collision Assist Unavailable" errors seem to have these two codes in common:

IPMA: U3000:89 - Control Module: Internal Data Transfer Failure
IPMA: U2107:68 - Collision mitigation by braking, bad data received

Frequency varies from occasionally to daily. Still waiting to see what the fix is.

Sigh… got 3.5.3.3 yesterday…. Seems to somehow have set me back. Now the car is totally dropping adaptive cruise control leading to a “60mph to hard brakes” situation while BC is active… and the faults are happening much more frequently

Super surprising since 3.3 is such a tiny update that shouldn’t have had much impact
