Same! As much as I promoted this car it’s sad that’s it’s been in and out of the shop for months. When purchasing I was between this care and a model 3 which was only around 37,000 at the time. I thought since ford had a dealership network and had been producing cars forever that the Mach e was the better choice but now I’m not so sure. I still love the car but this has been a big inconvenience.
Lol same dude. I bought this car because I’m a ford fan boy but also because of the dealership network. There’s a great dealership by my place and work (I don’t work too far from where I live at.) and thought this car would be a better choice since I can take it there if my car ever needed work but didn’t think I would utilize the dealership like this ?.

I'm a loyal Japanese brand(s) fan (30+ years) but wanted a 100% BEV to enjoy, protect the environment, and yes... savor the heck out of a wicked ride to work and kids soccer practices! Would have never walked into a Ford showroom or Website had it not been for the MME! Tossed up a Tesla vs Ford decision in 2020... Ford WON my new brand purchase business. Huge leap for my family. I have faith an engineering team will work this out... but communication is lacking -- agree!

Ugggg... Darn. That's not good at all! I was holding out a shimmer of hope for us if the 3.5.3 solved this failure. It's not 'fixed' if you still got the same faults again. What happens is at 65 MPH... the Blue Cruise will suddenly cut off and vehicle decelerates becoming a traffic hazard. Also, realize that your automatic braking is completely disabled during the fault sequence! This is a safety issue pure and simple and our cars should be under recall at this point -- with or without a solution, owners should be informed about this defect. Uggggg. I love my GT... but Ford needs to kick a solution in high gear and do the right thing by notifying all owners.
actually I should clarify.

So I drove ~20mi on two very bumpy highways

one way- nothing happened and BC acted normal. Took an exit ramp to another highway, deactivated BC manually, then getting back onto the next highway I re-activated just as I went over a bunch of bumps and it immediately faulted. I guess I could actually understand this one…. My foot was on the pedal as I was transitioning so I don’t remember if it slammed brakes but I’m pretty sure it didn’t

second time was on another bumpy highway. It did NOT totally disengage (though did fault). I would say standard speed cruise control stayed enabled

so from a “safety prospective” maybe this is fixed…… as long as it keeps the standard cruise control enabled, the safety concern is alleviated… not the annoyance, but at least I won’t get rear ended

Sadly, not entirely. You lose all automatic emergency braking function when "Pre-collision Assist not available" is displayed and yellow icon is indicated on bottom left corner of IPC. That means the car will NOT automatically brake when a frontal collision is imminent. This is a safety defect from NHTSA's rules.

Edit: These are the following features / systems that may be currently inoperative on my vehicle:
1) Pre-collision Assist including Automatic Emerg. Braking (100% sure)
2) Lane-Keeping Assist (able to toggle on/off but does not work at all)
3) Adaptive Cruise Control including dynamic cruise and Blue Cruise
4) Pedestrian & cyclist detection
5) Driver Alert -- uses front camera to track lane markings and driver alertness
6) Evasive steering assist
7) Intersection assist
8) Distance alert

That's a lot of safety features down with inoperative pre-collision!

Oh... My wife won't drive our MME. Uggggg.

In the last 3 days my symptoms have become slightly worse. I have experienced 3 occasions where cruise control deactivates. As if I pressed the pause button or touched the brake pedal. Prior to this weekend, when CC drops out....the bubble line would turn orange with "cancelled" at the bottom. Now I don't even get that message. The green set speed indicator just turns white with a white line across it.

Kinda annoying. I drive in Engage 2PD so when that happens the car just starts to mild regen and traffic starts darting around me. No orange icon in the lower left corner either. Weird.
I really expected these systems to function longer than 18 months.

Yours is intermittent at this point.

Yours is intermittent at this point. The orange pre-collision icon with a slash will appear momentarily then go away after fault clears. Mine did the same thing last week! I didn't trust Blue Cruise due to the unpredictable disengagement at posted highway speeds. I pissed the system off by lightly tapping on the forward camera housing trying to initiate trouble... it worked while in BC and constantly trying to restart it really pissed it off! Now it is static error -- steady fault on every drive-cycle everywhere... city/highway. I am not on the system's holiday card list!

Well this afternoon I got my car back. They had it for 7 weeks.
They replaced the IPMA and updated a bunch of software with the latest versions.
Anyway, tomorrow will put approximately 260 freeway miles on the car with adaptive cruise.
We shall see...
Update:
Yesterday we were on the freeway for 240 miles using adaptive cruise. After 7 weeks in service, getting new IPMA and all the updates, the faults recurred. Adaptive cruise kicks off, collision assist fault messages, front camera fault messages. This time I just waited without hitting the ok button (to clear the display), and after about a minute, the faults reset themselves and I was able to restart adaptive cruise control. And then almost exactly an hour later, it all happened again. The first time it coincided with a slight bump in the road, but the second time there was no bump at all. Here is an interesting thing: both fault occasions occurred an hour apart on the hour (5:00 pm and 6:00 pm). Coincidence? Probably, but interesting. Called my service advisor this morning, and he was able to pull up the fault history for yesterday remotely. Apparently there were many other faults all triggered together that did not show up in the car, because he said he’d never seen so many faults from one day in a car before. I guess it’s going back in, but he’s gonna work with me this time to let me drive it while leaving an open repair ticket so I have the use of my car. 36,000 miles is not far away…

I saw in a fb group that someone said their bracket for the radar had to be replaced and it fixed the issue. Not sure how true that is. Mine is still being worked on

Mildly interesting, I did some Googlin' and stumbled across this post on "another forum" about an F-150 (ICE).

Well I picked my truck up today. The dealership had it for about 2.5 weeks. They identified TSB 22-2109 that fit the errors my truck was showing. Apparently they had a really difficult time getting the update to install correctly and had to enlist the help of Ford engineers. Once the update took, they calibrated all the cameras and the error code has stayed away. They kept it for 2 days after it was complete to drive it and ensure the error did not come back.

Now I just need to wait for another hot sunny day to see if the little gremlin is gone for good or just on vacation.

BTW, the best way to get a loaner vehicle from the dealership is to call corporate. The dealership went from "we have no loaners", to "we put you on the loaner list, but no idea how long it will be", to "we have a loaner ready for you" within 2 days after contacting Ford corporate.
Note that TSB 22-2109 referenced in that post has been superseded by TSB 22-2295 which a couple of us with Front Camera Fault have had our service departments perform to no avail.

I tapped 'firmly' on the front camera housing in my windshield and successfully brought out the naughty orange gremlin, ha-ha! This is an image stabilization coding issue. Hello.... McFly engineers.... Anyone? Anyone? Ok... too many movie throwbacks today. I'll go back to lunch!

One of the issues I had them addressing (which may or may not be directly related, but I think likely is) was the adaptive cruise control braking hard when approaching to pass another vehicle that was located in the lane to the right (usually a truck, I think). I had specifically asked them to recalibrate the radar alignment. He assured me they would do that, but I don’t know if they did. I haven’t yet had that re-occur since getting the car back.

The camera issues is one of the examples I used in my Lemon Law filing through the BBB Auto Line. Ford will be moving forward with an offer to re-purchase my Mach E.

The camera issue is a critical safety and performance feature of the vehicle.

Ford either needs to address the serious flaws with these vehicles or re-purchase them.

Wow. That's disappointing. While I love my wicked GT, I'm growing tired of the dealer trips to fix a complex safety and feature issue that seems, at the moment, unfixable. I'm a brand new customer to the Ford brand. Took a leap of faith.

As my car is still in the shop for the fourth time (and day 36?), I would like to hear more about this buyback process. Did you start with Ford Corporate first and then went to BBB Auto Line?

I have an open ticket with Ford corporate now and they are working with my dealer, but it doesn’t make sense to be paying for a car that I can’t fully and safely use.

I have an open case too. Not sure how much the case manager is working with my dealer on. I believe our vehicles have 'significantly diminished' in value with this major defect. If it's not fixable then our only viable choice is voluntary buyback or Lemon Law (in your state). I'd like it fixed 'permanently' and Ford to extend my bumper-to-bumper warranty. If unsuccessful, then buyback and set a fixed dealer price on a '23 GT. [I'm not paying the price difference, period!]
