Well, over the weekend we took an approximately 30-mile round trip on BlueCruise. No camera faults, BC worked flawlessly the entire time. So, my particular situation is significantly better after the IPMB replacement. It's likely I did have a true hardware failure. Now, it just seems like I'm back to really sporadic front camera faults, but most of the time it seems to work now after the part replacement.

I will continue to post updates if it improves or degrades over time.
I’m glad to hear your report. My experience has been different. Since having the IPMB replaced in late July 2022, I’ve gotten a fault error once a week. The most recent error this weekend appeared when ACC was not even turned on! My Select doesn’t have BlueCruise.

Well, Walnut Creek Ford has picked up my MachE from my home for Front Camera Fault repair #3. Wish me luck!

Ok I promised to update this thread when I got my car back (a second time) after the first fix didn't take.

They did two things differently from the last replacement/reprogram of the IPMA. The first is that my service manager had a sneaky suspicion that "new" IPMA was faulty, due to different codes being thrown this second go around than the first time--even though the same alert came up on the instrument cluster (PCA not available, etc.). Service manager also spoke with Ford Engineering, who told him to do a very specific procedure to reset and relearn--he said the steps Ford Engineering told him to do were different from last time, and very specific. They had to be done in the right order or the fix wouldn't take.

I've only had the car a day, so too soon to tell if this one holds. I'll update in a few days if it seems like this one may actually take. I've also attached the service notes in case it helps anyone.

The only thing I'll miss from this experience is having a new Lightning to drive around as a loaner. That was special.

Bad news. We are now back to the Front Camera Fault firing every day this week. I am really trying to focus now on variables, trying to determine if there is any pattern. I don't think in my case it is heat or sun. We are getting the message first thing in the morning when it's cooler and sun is to the rear of the car.

Curious to know what MY, trim and Job numbers are impacted by this problem.

I’ll start: my MachE is a MY21 Job 2 Select without BlueCruise, built 7/23/21.
Currently on my third repair attempt.

Agreed. I now get the message sometimes early in the am or late in the evenings when cooler outside. No patterns yet for me. Very random still.

My theroy has been that the software updates that are being pushed through are not compatible with certain components of hardware in the vehicle.
I highly doubt it. SW updates are nothing new for Ford cars. My '98 Ford Explorer had the ECU flashed a couple of times.

I think its just the SW is exponentially more complicated. Many more working parts all trying to communicate and work together.

Yes dealer applied TBS 22-2295 and it resolved the issue for me. No hardware needed. Only software and they had to drive it to retrain and verify after the update.
The Active cruise control cuts out a few times when used each trip with a camera error. So My car is not fixed either but it is better than not working at all. I just wait a minute and restart it. It hasn’t gotten to the point when it stops working completely.

I suspect there is no common thread other than it is a software bugs that ford needs to fix.

I have a job 2 2021 GT built 7/2021.

Add me to the list….sporadic occurrence. Dealer caught some diag codes tied to the faults but wasn’t sure what to do

I can’t seem to figure out what causes it. Only when using BC. No set pattern on when it happens

‘21 job 1 select AWD with BC

Well I had blue cruise installed at dealer and got the blue cruise OTA update as well. Blue cruise has never worked and I get the intermittent front fault. I have been upbeat through many problems but I am getting a bit disheartened.

Sadly, my 10-month old wicked '21 GT (Job 2, Built 7/21), with 9,500 miles is suffering from this same terrible fate! It started with annoying "ping-ponging" in my freeway lane with BC engaged. I had to hold the wheel hard to prevent a swipe by passing motorcyclists! Ugggg. Then it progressed to intermittent errors (FC Fault/PCA N/A) that nearly caused an accident at 65 MPH when vehicle decelerated rapidly in fast lane with no notice aside from "Canceled" appearing on the IPC and three chimes! Stopped using BC last month! The errors cleared most of the time in 1 min or two. Then they became more consistently displayed longer every day until last week... fully out of order!!

I have an appointment with Ken Grody Ford in OC to resolve this issue among others. Hopefully 1-day fix with updated software! If not, EV loaner until issue is 100% resolved.

I picked up my car two days ago for door fault (still unresolved despite repair attempts), camera fault/pre-coll assist unavailable, and recalls. My camera fault started intermittently in April and went fully kaput (ie error messages never disappeared) by June/July. So far the error has not returned, but it’s only been days. I do not have Blue Cruise installed, Job 1 Select RWD, May 2021 build.

Not sure what repair was done because my service invoice only shows: 21P22 software calibration update, 21G01 Blue Cruise - (but this apparently didn’t work), and the windshield recall. I’ll report back if the issue reoccurs.

We had our car in for service for the Pre-collision issue. The dealer updated a bunch of modules and applied a Blue Cruise update. We haven't had the pre-collision alert yet but Blue Cruise isn't working as it's saying the sensor is blocked.
