The BEV team (case manager) said flat-out that Ford will not reimburse any gasoline receipts for me while using a back-up family ICE car. I'm not costing them rental company daily fees but no dice on comped gas! I tried........ My Camry Hybrid gets 37 MPG at least! Dealer has been great so far. My service advisor will reserve a Tesla for me on repair attempt #3!
Well, that's different. They'll definitely do it if you get an ICE rental. Procedure is procedure, I guess.

If you can get a Tesla, much easier then!

Scheduled mine to go in for the 3rd time in mid October. I am hoping there’s a fix by then.

@MachEnation Any updates with dealer's data capture yet? I'm hoping Ford will put out a TSB soon! Need to bring my GT back for attempt #3 and they may do a data logger too. I required a 100% BEV as a loaner this time since gas has now shot up in So. Cal. Should I take a Tesla rental from Enterprise if offered? This 3rd "fix" is likely to take longer than a couple days.
Don't hold your breath on the data logger. Engineering actually still has to write the software for it, so they can't install it yet--who knows when that will happen. But if your dealer gets it, let me know.

My dealer is instead trying a creative but admittedly long shot fix of chasing down and repairing an ABS fault that's flagging on my rear parking brake. Oddly, one of the TSBs for the camera codes mentions repairing any ABS problems first. Again, a theory to be soon tested when I get my car back. Will update when they do.

There is a TSB already.

has anyone reported this fixing the problem though? seems like these are the steps dealers are taking but its not fixing it

I don't believe so. You can read back in the thread for my saga in which replacing several parts, following the TSB, and updating all modules seemed to help "a lot" but maybe not completely solved it. The jury is still out for me.

Just got back home from picking the car back up. It's very late in the evening, so I didn't have a chance to detour to a BC-enabled highway. I have a short day-trip coming up soon where I should be able to exercise BC so I'll keep this thread up to date if it seems solved or it comes back. For those following along, here is the invoice. Note the programming issues mentioned by other folks and some reset issues.

Here are relevant snippets of the invoice. Note this time, this dealer did reference and go through TSB 22-2295. They replaced the IPMA, then had some programming issues to overcome with the new module (I believe that's been reported elsewhere in the forum as well), and finally re-aligned the camera.
Just wanted to update after this second "fix". The morning after getting the car back, the Front Camera Fault re-appeared and stuck the entire way to our weekend destination approximately 1 1/2 hours of driving. The next day, the fault cleared and stayed off for the entire trip back. Since then, the fault has appeared again temporarily. It appears as though the two "fixes" from my trips to the dealer service has restored the problem from being always-fault, back to temporary fault like how the problem initially started back in, June.

In fact, look what greeted me this morning after all my trips to get the issue fixed, all the part replacements, and all the software updates and resets.

I think I only saw it twice this week, which is less than normal. I suspect as it gets cooler the errors will be less frequent. Then next summer it will start all over again.
FYI, was 59 degrees this morning :)

I wonder exactly how many Ford engineers are working on this issue? I hope they're on it round-the-clock going through the hundreds of lines of code! My advice to automaker.... Ford CEO... "The engineer who permanently solves this problem for our valued customers will get a $25,000 bonus this year!" Right?

That blows up my theory a little bit...

Just wanted to drop a note in this thread that I’m in the same boat. It’s mainly permanent at this point, but when the fault goes temporary, it comes back every time we cross a bump on the highway. Dealer ordered a new part and will install it next Friday. Not sure of the details but seems like the part is a long shot.

Same boat here, intermittent but more like every 1-2 weeks, then goes away. I believe that my software updates are caught up, and BlueCruise works reliably for me other than the minutes when the camera is in the fault state.

I used to think it might be years before they figured out how to manufacture the low voltage battery to resolve my earlier issues - then one day it showed up at the dealer and everything got better. So while this software issue seems bleak, I hope that they will figure out the code, push an update, and we can all forget about this.

Mine has now shifted from intermittent to static PCA/FC fault (constant on). Blue Cruise will not activate at all! They won't clear or go away with drive cycle restart. My 12 year old wants to fix it for a 'small' fee. I said go ask Mr. J. D. Farley if he'll set you up for this gig! Don't forget the benefits package too, ha-ha!

I think the frontal camera has an image stabilization coding conflict. Like others have said, a big bump set it off and I was even able to reproduce it by tapping on the camera housing.

As I sit waiting for a Tesla rental from Enterprise RAC, the thought of purchasing gas at $6.75/gal is horrible! I don't care if they find me an all-BEV Fiat at this point! (Uhhhh, maybe not!)

Just ask your dealer to cover your gas and that you'll save the receipts and provide them when you turn the rental in.
