Welp, another short-lived repair. Five days after picking up my car, I got the error message again.
That is just terrible! Unacceptable. At least you got them to do *some* work. I've been waiting for them to call back for over 2 months because they can't get the coaxial cable...

Dealer in Colorado told me today that the UAW strike could cause more delay in getting the coax cable. But they didn't sound sure of the exact supply chain that would provide the cables.

Was there a thread where kindly friendly folks were willing run to VIN see if any diagnostic codes pop up? My error is persistent again so I’m wondering if any code is even present for the dealer to see.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Mach-E concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Got my car back today after being with the dealership for a second visit. This time TSB 23-2155 was performed. Error code 03000;89 stored in the ipma. Note the process followed by the technician. They replaced all of the cable assembly and error was still present in ipma. Replaced front camera, error still present. Replaced rear ipma and error went away. Only time will tell!

I had this issue earlier in the year while car was under warranty they performed a few recall items and TSB (not this one) it's been about 3 months now it has come back and the car is beyond the 36,000 warranty... am I screwed and have to pay for this now that their "fix" didn't work when the car was under 36,000 warranty?

Is this your first car with a warranty? That is exactly how they work - they diagnose and fix your car and give you a rental. 4 days isn't even that long. If it gets to be a couple of weeks, then you can usually complain and get a month's payment covered. What else do you expect them to do? Give you a paid rental, halt all payments on your car until it is released? Does a mechanic do that? Thought process makes no sense.
They should provide a Mach E until it gets replaced. It's under warranty and absolutely makes sense.

Same issue ,ford finance offered to pay half and when I asked about arbtration. A gift card was offered. Talking to lawyers now.time and effort to fix was done on my part but not on ford's part. So now they will be at a loss when they could have just ficed in the first place. And my coworker had same issue but had his replaced. Wtf

I have mine in for the 3rd time. First time they reprogrammed it. Second time they replaced the module and said that would do it. Got the fault the next morning on the way to work. Starts off intermittently and eventually stays on all the time as others have mentioned. At least they provided me a courtesy vehicle this time. If they don't get it fixed this time, I will be pursuing lemon status. I've already opened a case with Ford directly.

You would think this trend would cause ford to get ahead of a lemon status case. I mean spend a couple grand so you don't lose 50 grand.

I have been getting these errors a lot recently. Driving on the highway and they pop up then go away within 3 minutes. Should I have this checked out? I figured the dealer would want the car to be displaying the error message when I take it in, but it fixes itself after 3 to 5 mins of driving.

****UPDATE****
The fix is to get the coaxial cable replaced by the dealer. Theres is a TSB out for it now.

****UPDATE****
This is the TSB. I have been waiting for. I get this error all the time then it just goes away and the camera starts working 5-10 min later lol. Thanks!

I'm 6 days post-coax replacement (during my fifth service visit) and have had unseasonably warm weather and an interstate trip. So far so good - just needs to stay that way so I can bitch about something else for a change ;) I noticed my diagnostic codes changed over time. The first code indicated IPMA was bad but not the coax; once IPMA was replaced, fault came back and new diagnostic code indicated coax was bad. My car seemingly had a combo of issues, leading to multiple unsuccessful (but actually successful?) repair attempts.

zero problems with the camera since it was fixed about a month ago. With that said, three days after getting it back the hvbjb failed and it went right back to the dealer for another two weeks. So really, I've gone about three weeks of driving with it since the camera was fixed. So far so good.

Looks like I am in a similar boat as many others here. Very frustrating...here's what happened/the saga:

At the beginning of this year, I started getting the front camera & pre-collision errors intermittently. Eventually the 2 errors stayed on. Dealerships in So Cal are backed up. I finally brought my MME in for an appointment 2 weeks ago after a 1-month wait for appointments.

They said per policy, I cannot get a loaner car until the problem is diagnosed even though I am still within my 3-year bumper to bumper warranty. So I went 4 days (including a weekend) without a car. I finally got the dealership's loaner gas car. Parts were ordered and the estimated completion date for my MME was 10/27. It was later pushed to 10/28, then to 10/30, and finally on 10/31, my car was ready for pickup. I actually didn't mind the delays as I rather have them do the repair correctly than to rush it. When I picked up my MME, the service advisor said he is still finishing up the paperwork and he will email it to me later (haven't yet...so I don't know what they replaced, but I did tell them about TSB 23-2155).

Drove the car home on 10/31 for 30 minutes. No problem. Happy to finally have the car back. I was also happy about the software updates applied by the dealership so that my 2021 Job 1 frunk release works (via the code on the B-Pillar, as well as the frunk emergency button...I couldn't fit myself in the frunk to test, but I assume the button works because I can hear mechanical noise that didn't exist before). However, today (11/1), the errors came back during a morning drive. They cleared up quickly. A bit concern, but I was hoping this is a one-off. In the afternoon, the same errors popped up and cleared within a minute. Very frustrating to see as this is the first full day of getting the car back. After all the ordeal, the problem still exists. I am also concern that once my 3-year warranty runs out at the beginning of next year, I will be paying out of pocket.

@Ford Motor Company , is this issue being addressed at the engineering level despite the existing TSB? It's going to take another 1-month wait period to get another appointment. Hearing stories with people bringing their car in 3 times to fix the front camera issue, but still have the issue return, is not comforting to know.
