What hasn’t been said is that I did talk to Ford about a year ago regarding the glass recalls and this dealer. It had zero effect. So far the dealer has refused to do any glass recalls on any of the cars covered. Personnel issues. There is a serious post pandemic labor shortage here. Well, a shortage of labor willing to work for the offered wages anyway. The Ford dealer is not alone btw. The bigger of the two Jeep/Nissan dealers is far worse off. And the single Chevy dealer? Forget about it.
I’ll press the service manager and talk to the owner (friend of a friend type thing) to get it done if I can. Otherwise I live with it until I decide I want to afford the tools snd equipment to run FDRS myself. And honestly, I’ve been using the Frunk without a remote release for two years now so I can go a bit longer.
I understand the advice and appreciate it. I might see if the customer experience officers respond to a suggestion the issue a CSP over this, as that’s what it will likely take.So don’t complain about the dealer to Ford. Tell them what your issue is and that you need them to give authorization to your local dealer to do the work to fix it. (And for the local dealer to get paid by Ford)
I’m surprised I haven’t seen the pop up by Ford yet asking you for your VIN and Dealer.
