To open/close my garage door I have to be within about 15' from the door, and often it will not make the connection. And even when it does connect if I let go of the button too soon - or too late - the door stops. I do not have this problem with my other vehicle, and it activates the door from easily 200' away. Any suggestions?
And my wife and I love our mach-E!!! My first car was a 1965 Mustang. I like this one much better.

Are you using the built-in garage door controls or a separate remote? Based on other threads stating that toll transponders have issues, the windshield could be blocking signals from a separate remote.

On mine the built in remote does seem to have limited range. Maybe for safety as not to be spoofed as easily. We have to be within 15 feet facing the door. Coming down the drive does not work, with the actual garage door remote that came with the opener it can juice the door from 75 feet away.

I use the built in opener and I’ve experienced the same, have to be fairly close. Never been an issue for me though.

My Chamberlain too. My driveway is about 50 feet long and I usually hit the opener from the street.
Good point. We didn't discuss brand of opener. I have a LiftMaster, which is the company that makes Chamberlain also.

I recently bought a Honda Ridgeline and programmed the Homelink. It would work intermittently. The Homelink in a 2017 Fusion worked normally as well as the clickers supplied by the garage door opener. I posed this issue on the Ridgeline forum. A response asked if I had an LED bulb in the opener. I had recently replaced the incandescent with an LED. I thought how strange but when I replaced the LED with an incandescent the Ridgeline worked as normal. Turns out there are LED bulbs made for garage door openers that do not emit certain emissions that effect the openers frequency. So to net it out if you have an LED in your opener try an incandescent or purchase an LED designed for that purpose. Good luck!

this is odd, I activate it typically from 40-50 feet away without difficulty. That said tho the garage door opener itself is new so that may be a factor. But the onboard homelink control on the car works quite well.

You are talking about wireless devices. There are an ABUNDENT of factors that can result in the transmission or receiving of the transmitter to be extraordinary good or extraordinary crappy. Manufacture of the garage opener would be the biggest factor and how they designed the receiver, or even the age of the garage opener. Another major factor is if you have any RFI or Radio Frequency Interference around your home. Powerlines are known to cause all type of RFI issues with lower power transmitters. You would be amazed at how much RFI there is around your home. I used to have a Cox cable box that would blast out all types of noise. You easily find out if you play HF radio at all :)

End of the day, almost everyone is going to have a different experience.

One major cause is programming. Homelinks are finicky. Do it without a final step, and often the range is limited. It is very weird. Mine works from hundreds of feet away.
