Chiming back in on the Magnaride conversation. I work in a performance shop that does A LOT of fords. I also own a premium GT with magnaride and there is a noticeable difference in ride quality IMO between a regular GT and a Magnaride GT, BUT you've got to pay for MR. I think thats where the thought process lies. Its another additional expense, but why not make it an option on the MME GT, and not only on the MME GT PE

Ordered last week: GTPE, pano, 360, mats in Dark Matter Gray.

I was torn between Space White and Dark Matter Gray. I feel like the Space White is a little too light (from other smoke type colors I really like on porsche, audi)...and the Dark Matter Gray is a little too dark. Anyone care to comment on thoughts around these 2 colors? Dealer told me I can switch it.

I was torn too. My wife likes the Space White and my son likes the Dark Matter Grey. So I ordered the Iconic Silver. But, to actually answer your request, I would lean more heavily toward the White. I think the black accenting, especially the GT grill, the rear “fastback” illusion and around the rear lights, gets drowned out against the darker colors. Especially (obviously) the Shadow Black. Get back on Ford dot com and rotate the GT while switching between the colors. You’ll see what I mean.

The solid black pieces of the GT wheels is the cover. Look up “Tesla wheels without covers” for comparison. I think I have only ever seen one pic of the GT wheels without the covers but I can’t remember where.
Huh. I never knew that, and GT is the trim I have ordered. I thought it just came with goofy-looking wheels.

Personally I would have paid the entirety of the PE just for the magneride if they didn't force you into the glass roof, pirelli summers, and what I think is a less desirable interior.
My thoughts exactly. I believe they price and package their options very purposefully, to extract the most money possible from customers. And it probably works. But it irritates me that the options I want most - steel roof, Co-Pilot360, and MagneRide - are not available together in any single Mach-E at any price.

oh yeah, the wheels look great in that pic. I hope the covers can be easily removed and put back on. It would be a great option for longer road trips. I will have to think twice if the removal is permanent.

Yeah, same here. So, I’m getting what’s more important to me: Metal roof and magneride.

SOOO much better without the covers. I'll gladly sacrifice the couple of miles range..

GT, Cyber Orange, Pano and 360 (as requested by my wife)....otherwise I was starting to lean towards the body colored roof.

Went with a GT, Space White, glass roof, 360 cameras.

I put a post on Reddit that confirmed the glass roof should be good in hot weather which is important since I don't have a garage right now and live in the heat.

Deciding factor over the GTPE is the cost but also the range since I have to do multi state travelling a few times a year. Like others have said it's coming down to $6000+ for magneride and I just couldn't do it. I think people also need to be realistic and ask themselves when are they really going to use magneride? If you track your car it makes sense, if you don't then do you really need the extra cost? Believe me I see stuff like that and want the best of the best, but when I sit and really think of how I'm using the car it really doesn't make sense as a daily driver and I don't go to track days. I'd also wager even if I went to one or two track days that the standard suspension would do the job and I'd still have a hell of a lot of fun. Also, if you're only driving on winding, cornering street roads are you really trying to set a lap record?

This could easily be my middle age speaking, but the loss of miles and possible comfort with the sports seats, possible manual passenger seat, it wasn't worth the cost of it just for the suspension. I know it's also slower, but even that is getting down to splitting hairs for .3 seconds. And remember that's only starting from a full stop. That 30ft lbs of torque will most likely never be felt when you're passing someone on the highway or elsewhere.

Just my two cents, I debated the GTPE for a while and just couldn't do it.

I'm also hoping the wheel covers come off the GT, that was actually something that made the GT a hard decision. I'm not a huge fan of how the wheels look with the black covers, but the picture without the covers gives me hope since they look so much better that way.

Pretty sure they're just plastic aero covers on the rim that can come off.

The Magneride should be really nice for daily driving with a comfort mode. It should eliminate a lot of the complaints we're reading about with the non-GTs.

I'm sorta concerned about the recharging speed on the GTs. With even less range than the 4X, it means we need a greater SoC to cover the same distance on road trips. If we get 2.5mi/kWh at freeway speeds, then it'll take us ~20 minutes of recharging to hop the 80-90 miles between EA stations and an 80% SoC might not be enough to do a skip stop leg.

I believe the 20 mile loss compared to the premium version is mainly things like bigger tires, not the motors making more power. In theory if you're just cruising at 70mph it should be putting out the same power either way. For my long distance trips from FL to NC I have to make the same stops if I have 250 or 270 miles of range, so it doesn't really matter to me. At worst I may have to make a quick 10 minute partial stop in the middle somewhere which is worth it for a full second difference 0-60.

Also something else to consider is that you only get 250 miles of range on that first 100% charge. Every charge on a quick charging station will only be 80% battery so really you're looking at around 200 miles per charge from the quick charging stations.

As far as charging it's the same battery as the premium extended range. So if you have a premium extended range or a GT it'll charge at the same speed. If that's a concern then you'd need to go down to a premium or select with a standard range battery which is a completely different car at that point.

Just ordered GT in Cyber Orange with Interior Protection Package.
And I ended up changing the color to Rapid Red (wife hated the orange) and also added the Pano roof. I was worried it might delay my order even though the dealer said it shouldn't. Just got the email today that it's scheduled for production the week of August 15th!

So good seeing these orders get into production. I just had to cancel my order that I've had for two weeks so I can open a new one under a new dealer. But maybe this way I can see some reviews and get even more hyped.

15 days ago, I ordered a GT (non-PE), Silver, with Blue Cruise/camera and pano roof, plus interior protection package. Note that I ordered before finding this awesome community. See a lot of pano alignment complaints, but I’m hoping that’s “squeaky wheels” or at the very least an issue that’s fixed before my MME is built.

I really wanted this to be my “no regrets car” so that I wouldn’t try to upgrade in a couple years. Given that, I put some serious thought into PE. But I honestly didn’t want to deal with summer tires and needing a second set (I live in the Northeast). The fixed headrest is another thing I didn’t like the thought of. God forbid it’s fixed in a spot I find uncomfortable! ?
