From time to time, I get in my MachE GTPE, and start it. After doing so, I notice the heating/air conditioning is off.
Now, considering how cold it is in Georgia at the moment, to me the heat should be on, no?

Why is it not, automatically? Thanks

Does the screen say OFF or is it just waiting a minute for the PTC heater to warm up?

Assuming you have eHeat turned on.

This time of year it often takes 30 seconds or so for the heater to warm up before the fans start blowing.

The temperature section shows OFF. Where as normally, it would show 72/73 (that’s where I normally have it set).
The next time I start up, I’ll wait a moment to check. THANKS!

So, I think I’ve noticed it is at the last setting during the day. However, first thing in the morning, especially if I didn’t charge it, the temperature controls are OFF and marked so, too…

It should be at the last setting of the prior use. If you changed it from Auto to Off, and then shutdown for the day, the next day it will be off.

However, if you remote start, it will use whatever settings you have in remote start. Then, when you get in and push Start, it will revert to the prior day's last settings.

Honestly, wonder if it's the profile bug where the default profile has it set to off?

I have the opposite problem where it’s cold outside but the AC turns on at some point during the drive. The car starts off heating but the AC gets turned on for some reason.

That's normal. The AC is used for dehumidification. But the OP is saying that his HVAC is completely off at startup, not just that the heat or AC buttons are enabled/disabled.

Understood. I will monitor it over the coming days.

Typically, the heater is on, around 73/74 and on Auto. I am wondering if I merely changed the temperature level (which turns off Auto), and thus somehow the following morning it is off (I don't use remote start - car sits in my garage when at home. I actually don't even use remote start when at the office)...
