If you are looking for comfort, I honestly think you picked the worst two.

I'm buying a RAV4 Prime for road trips (keeping the Mach-E though) and will trade that in for a Ioniq 5 because I like what I'm hearing about the ride comfort without the major compromises of the ID.4

The MME is a BLAST to drive but the suspension is firm and the seat is thin and I developed butt/back pain driving longer than 20 mins and I never had back pain in my life. Somewhat fixed using a cushion recommended by somebody on FB. The Model Y has harsh suspension too but honestly it's about the same as the MME.
I’m surprised you say that about the Mach-Es seat, it is so comfortable to me. I think part of it is whatever your daily driver is, you get used to, but from the start, I thought it was one of the most comfortable seats I’ve ever sat in.

Surprised too but something about the angle of the seats that causes pinching of a nerve at the bottom of my butt. Test drives did not expose this problem because they were all 15 minutes or less. My longer drives caused pain such that I wanted to stop. I adjusted all the lumbars and seat positions... it just shifted the problem around.

I had to buy this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RP1WPSF (as recommended by somebody on FB - I tried another cushion but returned it).

The cheapo cloth seats in the ID.4 surprisingly were the best of the EVs I've owned. The Model Y has "leather sofa" seats and I can see how folks can sink in them and get into weird positions.

Again, I have zero back problems and work at home all day at a desk - and yet 20mins in the MME caused pain. Weird.

I don't buy the E being more comfortable than the Y. My bet is there similar in that regard.

Now, if you tell me that you think the Y interior (dash) is plain, I will have to agree with you.

However, if you compare efficiencies and performance specifications, it will all look quite different as to which one is better, styling aside which is subjective anyway. I'm actually disappointed about this. I was hoping for an alternative to the Y, but for the moment it isn't so.

The Bolt didn't have many car fires at first. It took a few years of degradation and over stress and then there were so many car fires they had to do a recall and replace all the packs. Brought to you by LG Chem battery packs.

The two aren't that different - having owned both except the MME handles more like a sedan. I've watched three Ioniq 5 videos now and they all mention how firm both the Mach-E and Y are:

More discussion on the suspension:

I feel the Ioniq 5 is going to be a big hit with families and the Mach-E and Y will be for more performance oriented owners.

No idea how comfortable Y seats are, never sat in one, but my biggest issue with them would be that you cannot get perforated seats on them, which I think is important in hot climates, and is something I wish automakers would more broadly offer.

A non-issue to me. The AC in the Model Y and ID.4 are insanely good (much better than ICE cars) and both have remote climate/temperature control where you can set the temperature before you arrive. I did not find the leather seats of the Y nor the cloth seats on the ID.4 a problem in 95F Florida weather.

EDIT: And the Ioniq 5 does comes with ventilated front seats. Well... it's top of the class I guess... lol.

Everyone talks efficiency while driving. Another knock against Teslas is their inefficiencies while parked. Teslas have "vampire/phantom" drain that consumes a decent amount of energy while parked or even while charging. This is something to consider for absolute energy efficiency between the too.

Did you pull up next to him, roll down the window, and yell: “Vroom, vroom?” ??

Nope. The official EV engine rev is pulling up and swiping the wipers once

I test drove Both the Model Y and Mach E, hands down the Mach E. Fit, finish, ride, style and dealership supoort and the fact that u have a lcd instrument cluster swayed my decision. Don't regret it one bit. Both my wife and I love our Mach E and have driven it 12000 miles in 6 months without a single issue.

I have never driven a Tesla. A friend recently bought a M3 and he was saying the ride isn’t comfortable.

asking as a neutral, is the M3 or the MY’s ride as firm as the MME’s , or is It all subjective ?

Model 3? Model 3, Y, and MME all have pretty firm suspensions. With that said, it’s subjective. I basically had back to back weekends with 250 round trip miles on the MME using BlueCruise and had no issues.

I did trade the MME for a RAV4 Prime this past weekend and drove each 125 miles on the highway and yes the Prime is more comfortable than all of the above. It’s a classical SUV with softer suspension. It drives like a ID.4 and accelerates like an EV (0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds)
