Since delivery of my 2022 Mach-e AWD, there has been a high pitched whine between 30 - 45 mph when there is nearly no load on the engines, when the accelerator pedal is nearly completely released, and the vehicle is not quite coasting. In other words, when you’ve reached your cruising speed. It is very annoying and occurs regardless of the one-pedal setting. Any suggestions?

Mine does this too at 50mph and the dealer verified it but said that ford had no fix on it and there was nothing they can do. Then the 1.7.1 issue became my concern and I never re-addressed it.

Mine does the same, similar speed range while cruising around residential areas.

Yeah, there seems to be a certain speed in all of them where you just get the constant whine, have to either go a bit faster or slower to get out of that "whine range." Definitely an EV characteristic. We get a whine instead of engine noise, yay...

On that note, my GT PE's whine is a lot quieter than my old Premiums. I would notice it on my Premium all the time cruising the highway, but don't on my GT PE.

Click on her name and click “start conversation.”

She will create a service ticket for you and send you to connect with your local dealer.

Only the dealer service center can do anything if there’s a fix.

Hey everyone. Is there any update or feed back on the problem?

I just took a delivery a week ago. noticed this from day one.

And I also noticed a wobbly noise from front wheels at low speed. (Axle or wheel need balance. )
Not sure if it's related.

Hi all,
I am having this same noise too. As others have commented, it starts around 29mph, peaks at about 31-32 then falls away as you keep accelerating. Trying to cruise at 30mph, the whine coming and going continuously is becoming tedious.
I've not been able to tell if it's from the front/rear or both motors.
I took it back to my local dealer this week and they compared it with their managers car and now he's noticing it on his demonstrator too, so this looks like it's something in the design of the motors.
This is a bit disappointing considering the premium price point for the Mustang.
If this is to do with motor drive, I wonder if the software controlling the motors could be tweaked to move the whine away from 30mph. 35 wound be a better place for it as at least it's not smack on one of the most common speed limits!

Hope we can get an improvement in the future

Hello! I just wanted to jump in here and say that I am now hearing a similar noise.

From what I can tell it is coming from the front motor and it is LOUD. Sounds like gear whine in reverse in an ice car with a transmission that needs a fluid change or is going bad.

I have a first edition, premium, AWD, with 25000 miles on it, and the noise is definitely new. Car was whisper quiet before. Kinda peeved about it (not mad, just annoyed, we've had a number of minor issues over the last few months that keeps putting it in dealership hands).

The noise happens from a stop to about 35-40 mph.

Any help would be appreciated if anyone has a fix or experience getting it fixed :)

Hey there! I can look into your Mach-E’s noise concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?
