This was driving me nuts too. I never use the Ford nav but it was randomly alerting me every few days. I finally figured out how to go super deep in the menu and turn it all off.

Go to Ford nav, hit the wrench button on the bottom left, I think hit settings again, then alerts. Uncheck everything that has to do with alerts.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard that. I do that every time I check the mail. I don’t even put it in park before I open the door.

That was my whole point. People see pages and pages of settings in settings. They don't think to look in the actual nav app for even more settings. Just need to add a Nav section to the global settings to consolidate them all in one place.

And this is because people don't read the owner's manual, especially since it can change behind peoples' backs.

I think Traffic is to show traffic lines on the screen.
