The ride has never been a problem for my FE.

There was a new Kia EV6 in the lane next to me coming back from lunch today. That car moves around A LOT on its suspension, even on city streets. Wow. Like a boat.
There are many reviewers currently stating that the EV6's suspension is better than the Ionic 5's and night and day compared to the Mach E's.

Yeah, I've seen them also. I'm sure it's super comfy, but so is my Navigator. That moves around a lot too.

The ride is stiff and bumpy, I admit. Bumpier than any of the many cars I've owned including 4 prior Mustangs. But it's bumpy enough to give my wife a headache with any drive over a half an hour. So, we will always use her Lincoln Navigator for any drive more than 30 minutes.

Bummer.

we all make choices...
are YOU happy with your car's look and feel ?
do you have another car your wife likes to take trips in ?
seems simple

Because 60 grand is a lot of money to spend only to be irritated by a poorly damped suspension. The longest running thread on this forum agrees.

We replaced a ‘12 Kia Sorento with the MME. It’s my wife’s car and she loves it.
A lot of the bumpy ride is due to the XL tires at 39 lbs. Unfortunately because of the weight it’s necessary.

It's the same weight as ID4 an ioniq 5. Those EVs don't have suspension issues

I love my Mach E, however, the ride is harsher than my c8 corvette (!! Seriously) and my daughters hybrid rav4. The redeeming qualities are acceleration and electric! (Wife loves the heated seats compared to others, calls it a warm hug ?

My understanding is the XL tire just means it’s weight rating is effective at higher psi. I swapped for SL tires, but still with a 104 (I think) load rating, which achieves its rating at 36 psi. I am now running 36 psi which is not considered under inflated.

The best way to prevent a bumpy ride is to make sure there is fresh air in your tires. If the air becomes stale over a long period of time, it increases the durometer and shore hardness on the inner wall of the tire, translating to a very bumpy ride. This problem intensifies with all-weather tires that incorporate more aggressive elastomeric compounds in the rubber. Moreover, stale air in tires can impact range by as much as 7% - 9% in some cases (depending on wheel size). It is recommended that you replace the air in your tires every 500 miles.

Then again, this might be a lot of hooey.

The stiff suspension was very noticeable when I 1st stated driving the car. I came out of Kia Optima and Sportage. It's been almost 8 months and I truly don't think of the ride that much. Either it's getting better or my mind is adjusting.

btw: My answer from above is C (because) LOL

i find this so weird and hard to believe. Sunday I drove both my ICE mustang and my GTPE back to back within minutes and the ride quaility is damn near identical.

Of all the things wrong with the Mach-E, ride is not one of them...
You were probably using 1 pedal incorrectly and jerking her head around too much..
