The seller I purchased the comma from did reply to my message and said they removed the device from their connect account. I will (hopefully) connect it up this evening and I can share a route if you are still interested.

The radar errors are a known issue that we have been working on for months. Comma hasn't been able to solve them either.

The turn exceeded intrigues me, I'm not getting those. Once you get into the portal, I'll look at your route.

My dealer sent the mobile service to do the Safety Recall 12v update. It got stalled in the middle due to the fact I have comma 3x Open Pilot installed on my 21 MME as of August of this year. The tech said the software could not talk with the IPMA; even though the comma 3x was disconnected from the car. I went and disconnected the comma 3x harness from the IPMA and the software update finished with no problem. Thereafter, I reconnected the comma 3x harness and all is well. It would appear that the bypass on the comma 3x harness is not 100%.

Does your harness have the RJ45 (ethernet) or 4-pin port for connection to the ODB2?

It is new, I bought the harness/comma3 last month 08/2025. The ODB2 connection is the 4-pin port.

Surprised you had an issue. The new solid-state board is supposed to be better.

Yeah, but I'm not complaining. The comma 3x is amazing!! I am just putting this out there to warn others of a potential problem and easy solution.

I had a similar mobile update on mine, with the older harness plugged in, but no comma device. Luckily it went smoothly, without glitches.
I cleared all DTCs the day before, but not sure it really made a difference.

I recently got the Comma3X and have everything installed. I'm contemplating extending the cord for the OBD2 connection. I'm curious what the pro's and con's are of that? Does this truly drain the 12V battery? Does that system get recharged?

Curious what you all think that have done this or are more in the know. :)

Thanks @AjzRide for the tutorial and the dock! (I believe that was you on the dock) ;)

Given how fragile the MachE 12v system is, I don’t see the upside. The downside is that you have to wait an extra 90 seconds for the device to boot when you start driving. If you remotely start your car you will never notice.

I don't use the OBD2 connection, never have, it boots up fast enough that I Don't miss it.

Is there any way to upload trips, if the power is turned off except when the vehicle is on? I do have the $10/month for 10G data, so live trip uploads may "probably" work, but I haven't looked at the options to get that working.

I used to have the obdii connected, but for some reason it stopped powering the device, and I did not have time to open up the harness area and debug.

Bring the device inside overnight and power it with a phone charger.

Hey @AjzRide, coming from the ICE F150 forums you've already helped me a tremendous amount. Got a Mach E this year and finally got another harness to try out the Comma in my F150. Ive swapped it over and I'm getting terrible ping-pong. I see you mentioned recently you had this as well but I'm not seeing anything regarding it being resolved? Any help would be appreciated!

Switch the model to legacy --> WD40.
