Another great video showing the mache can get the range it says.
LOL, I didn't notice that. He made sure he checked the accuracy of the speedometer before he began, but who knew the clock would be the one with an error. It looks like there must be another bug in the tripmeter (besides the "reset" button in trip1/2 sometimes making the mi/kwh value "freeze"):
282 miles/2.85 hrs = 99 miles per hour!
I am guessing the time value is off as he closely monitored the miles, and the computed mi/kwh is 3.23 rounded up to 3.3 on the display

The "This trip" values are quite buggy on mine.LOL, I didn't notice that. He made sure he checked the accuracy of the speedometer before he began, but who knew the clock would be the one with an error.
ah, so maybe he had a potty break an hour or so into it?The "This trip" values are quite buggy on mine.
Sometimes the time doesn't reset, sometimes the miles doesn't reset. Sometimes they both reset.
There appears to be an attempt at making "this trip" account for short stops (like running into a store) to not reset it but if that is the case it should not reset all the values, not just randomly pick one....
He mentioned in last week‘s InsideEVs podcast that the reason they don’t do that is that it would be at much slower than 70mph, so it would likely artificially stretch the range. I guess it‘s better to just add the small range the GOM shows to the total when the number is so small.I really wanted him to drive around in parking lot loops for another three miles ?
Nice catch. It's nice and all that every reviewer got the fancy first edition and 4X models, but I want to see the RWD EX just crush it!Reading the youTube comments, it looks like Tom is going to be getting a RWD EX to test as well. Looking forward to that 70mph range test. Hope he gets close to the same weather conditions for that one.
Route 1 will likely go even further than a Premium RWD EX.Nice catch. It's nice and all that every reviewer got the fancy first edition and 4X models, but I want to see the RWD EX just crush it!
Not at all because I have a Route 1 ?
