I have had my 2022 GT for about 7 months now and have had nothing but issues. First it bricked in my driveway and had to be towed to a dealer then came the charging issues. It’s now been in the shop for 2 months as they try to figure out why it won’t charge. They can get it to charge slowly at the dealership but I can’t get it to charge at all.

I’ve tried to purchase 3rd party chargers, charged at my house in both the 120 and 240 volt plugs. Tried the same thing at my neighbors house and at work. All charge faults. Tried charge point stations and they give a fault as well. I was able to get it to charge slowly on an EVgo level 3. Has anyone else had anything similar to my issue?

I’ve been working with ford corporate but all they do is give me I’m sorry and I understand your upset. I bought it used but it only had 900 miles on it. I searched the service history and it showed that it was brought in 4 times in the first 900 miles before they person sold it. So overall the car has been in the shop 8 times in a year. I’m at the end of my rope with this. I paid a stupid amount for this car and I can’t drive it. What can I do?

Oh perhaps a Ford buy-back. They would probably balk at buying back a car you bought used, but given the service history it seems they should know the car is a lemon. The car is still under warranty, so I can't see how they can just shrug their shoulders!

I love the car but I hope they buy it back. Even if they “fix” the problem I have no doubt it’s going to continue to have issues.

Man that sucks I couldn't imagine that frustration. I haven't heard about this issue much, it's probably not common and unfortunately the first owner probably got just as frustrated with it...it should have been lemoned at that time so it didn't go to someone else who would have a bad experience with it. Given how inventory is improving, maybe see if they'd be more inclined to come up with an option to get you in a new GT?

Hopefully not as a trade-in so some one else has to deal with this!!!

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Mach-E concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
