Mach-E: The Existential Debate

I call it variously "Mach-e," "Electric Stang," "Mustang Mach-e" and I really like what someone called it above: "Space Pony." I'm gonna put that in my lexicon too. But I don't shy from "Mustang."

And as long as people still stop and stare at me when I drive by, or whip out their cameras in traffic, roll down their windows and demand a conversation about it, take selfies with it, or pull down their sunglasses to gawk at it like the hot babe at the beach, Ima call it whatever the f--- I wanna.

I generally call it a Mach E but I have also called it a Mustang Mach E, what I don't call it is an SUV as it is more car with no 'utility' lacking roof rails and towing.

They do, and I will likely order the Torklift hitch. That still doesn't do anything for trailer wiring.

Whenever I think of mustang, I envision videos of mustang owners trying to do burnouts while jumping the curb and crashing their cars ?. I call it the Mach E personally.

I have to really save a lot on gas this first year to make up for the $850 14-50 plug being added to the garage.

June 30th is my expected delivery. Cannot wait!

I also own a '65 Mustang convertible, so it's called a "Mustang" while my new one is a "Mach-E" just so people who know I have both understand which car I'm talking about. When strangers talk to me about my car, I call it a Mustang - they have no idea about my '65.
This has nothing to do with the "not a Mustang" thinking.

My F150 is called "F150". When I get my F150 Lightning EV, it will also be an "F150".

The way fuel prices are trending, it may not take as long as you think. At current prices in my area, that's about 260 gallons. That's probably 10,000 miles or so, depending on what you're currently driving and what your electric rates are.

So let's just say it is 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 5.7 liter Hemi...yep never got that boat i was going to tow with it.

I have a GT 350 and a GT350 R . I love my First Edition Mach E in grabber blue. I consider it an electric mustang , and I drive it with pride.

Thats not all you should count. Also count the time you don't need to spend at a gas station, esp. @ -5f!! I once did that math that I refilled my ICE about 80 times a year. 10-15 minutes Each time is an easy 16 hours a year. Taking billing rate of $300 I save about $5,000 of my time I can allocate to other things. Even if your billing rate is lower or you are retired thats like 2 additional days off.

At my house our MachE is referred to as “the horse”. I always think of Mr. Ed, a one trick pony….but what a trick.
Is he a Mustang? We don’t know or care. He is the horse!

I never call it a Mustang when talking about the car. I just call it a Mach-E however if someone is interested in learning more about it, I do say it is the new "electric Mustang". My first car back in 1970 was a '64 Mustang and in the last 50+ years have had 9 more. It is hard for me to call this car a Mustang but no matter what Ford calls it, I truly love the car. I enjoy driving it more than any other car I've had besides my Focus RS and GT500.

Love the wheels on your Mach E! What are they, and what size wheel/tires? PS I have the exact same model and color-love it!
