Does he? Can you name one good idea he has ever had?

The guy bounced around the industry as an employee of various companies, designing luxury cars for 20 years. Now he fancies himself a businessman, but all three of his independent ventures failed miserably. He might be a competent designer, or a nice guy, or maybe he's kind to animals. But I have seen no indication that Mr. Fisker is an idea man.
He has become rich creating bankrupt companies.

Definitely a significant drop, but that still remains a relatively expensive car.

Who would risk buying one now knowing the company may go under? What would that mean for warranty, fixes and updates in the coming years?

Grim prospect.
Lease one and when the company goes under just stop paying.

Most likely they will sell the leases as part of the bankruptcy process, and the new owner of your lease isn't going to let you stop paying. If you stop paying I expect they will take you to collections and it will hurt your credit rating.

Read the fine print in the lease agreement that almost nobody reads.

I don't understand why any automaker would be interested in acquiring Fisker. Their IP doesn't seem exactly competitive.
The designs are cool, but designing is easy. Manufacturing at a profit is hard. I could see a company like Google buying them if they want to build cars and don't want to invest in design resources. But that is a super long shot, and I agree, no existing car manufacturer would be interested. Except at maybe fire sale prices...

I don't think Fisker even builds their own EVs. Didn't they contract out to Magna?

“Designing is easy” haha.?

All the horribly generic, boring and awkward vehicles in the market belie your assertion.

Good design is VERY hard, especially with gutless CYA corporate execs more concerned with covering their a**es than creating excellence.

Yes Magna builds it, but he got some patents and designs that could save millions to established automakers

And a reputation that goes along with it that could cost billions.

Fisker is toxic.

Of course.

But a vehicle that looks good and has some interesting features isn't that hard to design compared to building it at a profit. It's relative. Sure, I couldn't design a vehicle in an afternoon, that's true.

I am referring to the multitude of BEV start ups that have come up with some really interesting and compelling designs, and most of them will never succeed because they can't build what they designed at a profit.

Lucid is a good example. They might actually survive, but a great car that is full of amazing technology isn't enough. They have done the "easy" part, but the hard part is still in process.

Nikola? Canoo? Atlis? Bollinger? Lordstown? Fisker? All companies who have designed vehicles, and even built prototypes, but are unlikely to ever make them profitably. That's my point.

can't imagine anyone buying one no matter how cheap. if you start having software or other issues.
Ditto. I wouldn't buy one unless they paid me.
