I'm still waiting for the Lincoln EV.
What ever happened to that? I’ve no idea why they never did an Electric Navigator since it’s just an F-150 with a cap on the bed.

Apologies for tempering the interest, even enthusiasm, with business realities. Based on past software problems and the fact Lucid's stock price is under $3/share the company is woefully undercapitalized and they have not presented on their website how they resolved significant software problems. I would like to see a full mea culpa. This leads me to conclude that Lucid may not be able to produce the number of vehicles it needs to sell in order to be viable long-term, and may not be able to service future vehicle issues.

Yes, the cars look great, the specs are impressive, and Lucid is building domestically. However, buyer beware that you could risk paying for an expensive yard ornament.

To support my point, I just saw that Enel X, maker of Juicebox chargers has ceased business operations, announcing that a 3rd party will handle customer support. Enel X will not support the Juicebox software either, meaning their chargers may not function. Ouch.

Yikes. I also can't imagine they'll sell many of these at $95K. Holy smokes that's pricey.

Think Lincoln will have a chance against Lucid?
NO.
Amazing design. An BEV SUV with a Cd way better than Mach E. I'm not in the market but my big question is which of the EV companies will still be around in 10 yrs. I guess Ford can fund EV's with profits from F-150 for a decade or two. Pisses me off that Ford just conceded the sedan market to Toyota, Kia, Hyundai etc.

If Lucid is still around in 3-4 years, I’d like to find a used Gravity in the $40-$50’s to replace my MME, or maybe the Volvo EX-90. I’m finished with Fords.

This is the right answer. This was the outcome for Fisker owners. The only EV OEM making money is Tesla. The rest are biding their time. Even Ford loses $5 billion a year on EVs. But they can sustain it using the cash from ICE business. To me, it's crazy to buy an EV from a non major manufacturer at this point. It's a market share war and once Tesla introduces even cheaper models next year its going to get bloodier for everyone, even higher end sellers. Only so many buyers.

Tesla also lost money for a number of years when they started selling their cars. Just sayin'.

The continuing fall in battery prices will result in a race to the bottom the next few years. Great news for customers. Not so good for car companies looking to recoup their investment.

Just sayin’ what though?

It is impossible for another manufacturer to duplicate what Tesla has done.

They were essentially first to mass market and now have a 50% market share.

There is literally room for 1 company to do that and to never be repeated.

So one company had 50% of the market and dozens are competing for a the other 50%.

Good luck ?

It’s kinda how explain cryptocurrencies to people….. there is Bitcoin (which who knows who started it and how to get your password back when you forget it) and 25,000 other currencies.

Five years from now, including the dollar, which of those 25,002 currencies do you think your local grocery store will accept?

This ends badly.
