Mach-E Warranty and Dealer's Interpretation

Hi All,

Just took my 21 Mach E in - front sensor not working and pre-collision stopped working and a "toggle" sound when I use my one pedal. I bought the 100k mile extended warranty, I know if comes with a 100 mile warranty already. Interestingly enough the service tech told me over and over that my car came with a 36 mile warranty and I have the extended warranty. I tried telling him the car came with a 100k mile warranty, he said that was for battery only. Is this correct? That's not how I remember it.

3 years / 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.
Battery is 8 years / 100,000 miles.

Also, was it actually the Ford extended warranty you bought? some dealers sell a 3rd party warranty, with varying levels of sketchyness.

Yes, through Ford. So I have a $100 "deductible".

Not if he’s still within the original 3/36 warranty. Buying a 10 year extended warranty is actually a 7 year add-on. It starts after the original 3/36.

Correct, but none of what he listed as issues has anything to do with the EV system.

If you did purchase an extended warranty speak to the warranty company.
