Yeah I think the Tesla fan boys are going to have a heyday with this especially if it runs over to US MME's and I'm pretty sure it will.
Was specifically talking about the responses on here vs the responses to the competitor when it happened to them.

However since you mentioned that, I took a look over at Reddit and they're hardly throwing shade.

On the plus side, if I gotta take her in for this, I think I’ll lump in the PAAK recall too. If we could get an option for a rebate and regular roof replacement, I’d take it ?

I much rather have Ford do a proactive recall then what Tesla does, where they say "everything was done correctly" when manufacturing the car, even though the roof came off. https://www.businessinsider.com/tes...family-claims-quality-control-concern-2020-10

This is not something Tesla fan boys can take pride in doing better.

100% agree. Look at GM how long it took them to recall their cars. The got more bad press for dragging their heels then they did for the problem itself

Thank you for that Business Insider article. That's right and after seeing the story about the Tesla Y having its roof blown off (I hadn't seen that article before now) the fan boys shouldn't be too snarky about the Mach E. Ford is being proactive in addressing and correcting the problem and that is good.

So good news I called the dealer to set up an appointment to program my second key and I asked him if my car was part of the recall and they told me that my car is not part of the recall for the windshield or the panoramic roof I received my car in April and my car was a February build

So obviously not all cars are part of the recall

I would recheck on that at the end of October after the official list has been released and the letters mailed.

I can tell you I was one of the first to get it in Canada except for those who ordered the FE's. I got mine April. So i'm probably part of the recall.
My MME 4X Premium was produced Nov 30th 2020, and delivered to me In February of 2021. I have yet to receive any notification of a recall notice in the app, or via email.

That doesn't mean anything since the recall hasn't been tied to the affected VINs yet. That won't happen until October. If your car was built in February, it will very likely be affected.

Nobody has yet.

Has anywhere here been affected by this recall yet? I checked my VIN (manufactured May 2021) on the Ford.ca website and according to that, I'm not affected by the recall.

Sorry, but if you check ford's VIN site to check for recalls, it won't be there as the recall isn't part of the US network yet.

As soon as they announce an 'official recall' *then you check your VIN and they'll tell you.

I'm sure the dealer just looked at the online recall checker and of course it wasn't there, because there isn't a US recall yet.

I am in Canada where the recall was originally announced. The lady in the phone said it wasn't under my vin. Maybe you guys are right, thanks for bursting my optimistic bubble.
