Which is a clear sign that GM has lost their way. When it came out, the Blazer was a head-to-head competitor with the Bronco. The Bronco is still a real SUV (wish there were an EV version, though). The new Blazer is anything but. I guess GM has determined they can’t compete with Ford and Jeep in that market.
I used to want a Bronco EV (owned the gas version recently) but with the crappy charging infrastructure in the US... it would have to stay near metro areas which defeats the purpose of owning a Bronco in the first place.

My R1S gets 2.0 mi/kWh efficiency! It has a 135 kWh battery pack. I can't imagine a smaller Bronco with a smaller battery getting more than 200 miles of range which would make it useless as an overlander or off-roader.

It’s #NoTaBlAzEr ??

THIS is a Blazer:

SM465 transfer case, NV4500 shift it yourself tranny, 4 wheel disc, rust, and dents from sliding into trees. There might still be part of a tiny import car still stuck to the frame. I just hate that it has a bow tie on the grille and an SBC under the hood. ??

My EV search initially started with a ICE Chevy Blazer. Then I thought about going hybrid but after some research I thought full EV was the way to go.

Learned about the MME, drove a Tesla when the Model S was all they had also drove a Nissan Aria and rode in the Vinfast, Ionic5 whild hearing and reading negatives about the ID4. By then Chevy announces the Blazer EV is coming. SS by the end of Summer '23 followed by some lower price RS models. I wanted to make my purchase before then so I ordered my MME in August '22 taking delivery in May '23. I would still be waiting for that Blazer if I went down that road, and no CarPlay for a subscription would have been a definite deal breaker.

I like the look of the Blazer inside and out, but I'm glad I have my MME!

SOC just did a 20-80% test on the Lyriq.......40min on a EA 350kw charger. Looks like GM is still having issues with their Ultium battery packs.

Yikes! Slower than a Mach-E.

Mainly due to the “ crappy charging infrastructure “ we decided to back up and go PHEV. No regrets after 6 months and 6,000 miles on Road Trips!!

Seems like GM is having a lot of trouble with Ultium. Blazer got pushed back again, right?

The 2024 Traverse is looking like a compelling ICE alternative to the Blazer. Supercruise, same dashboard/infotainment layout, new 2.5L turbo engine. Don't like the C-pillar though.

Yeah that’s a bit higher than expected. And almost $20k more than the gas Blazer.

AWD 2LT gas version is $38,195. That’s a huge leap for electric.
The RS is getting priced as much as the SS was when the Blazer EV was first announced.

Just cancelled my RS reservation.

Not sure I would cancel yet. Pricing is……fluid these days.
The pricing was just the final nail. Other reasons were deletion of SuperCruise on the RS trim, production delays, poor charging curve on the Lyriq, etc...

FYI, I cancelled my reservation via the original reservation management link and the automatic refund took about 3 weeks.

Reserved the RS, but $10k price increase + continued delays + no SuperCruise + no pano roof + slower charging than Lyriq made this an easy decision.
