Stock photo, so it doesn’t upset me at all.Does It bother anyone that the image used to 'illustrate' this thread is not of a GT in a rail yard?
Someone needs to take one for the team and hop the fence to get an updated picture.Does It bother anyone that the image used to 'illustrate' this thread is not of a GT in a rail yard?
Why is a car destined for Utah getting on a rail carrier that only serves the Eastern US? I suppose it could be going up to St. Louis or Chicago to get on a different carrier to head West, but we've already seen other GTs going to BNSF and Union Pacific, both of which go through SLC and have yards in KC.This is exactly what mine says, it doesn't mean that was its final destination. Pretty sure the delivered means to KC, next stop is MO. Norfolk Southern is a rail shipper, it's not talking about Norfolk VA.
Dunno, though the two we've seen headed west to coastal states (CA, WA) went via Muncie & Argentine ramps but the two we've seen headed west to non coastal states (UT, NV) went via Norfolk Southern. Why is a car destined for Utah getting on a rail carrier that only serves the Eastern US? I only know what palsapp tells us, which when it comes to how vehicles are routed to their eventual dealership destination isn't much. I do have some exciting updates though, which I am about to post.Maybe Carmel Mach E Auto has some insight.

Curious, when did you put in a reservation as i reserved mine the first day (11/2019) and have received basic notifications from Ford as the order bank was available, a build date assigned and the status page has stayed fairly up to date through the stages. Could it be better yes, but in general its just been a long road.$70k car ordered 4 months ago. No word from dealer or ford.com. Just "order in progress".
Ford needs a bit more communication here for premium cars...

The GTs builds looks to have started in July so hopefully people will start to get more information as the chip situation is better understood.
Yeah, the GTs have 20 months of reservation backlogs and the order system doesn't seem to have been designed to given build ETAs so the just sit in "order in process" until a build date has been assigned. The only way to get more details is through the dealer which sometimes has a bit more visibility and experience with timelines.Early May this year. Order number 108* GTPE
Not concerned or worried, just unbelievable a company would almost ignore customers ordering these premium vehicles. Maybe it's me, guess I have different standards, not sure.
Personally I'd put this on your dealer improperly setting expectations. This is a car that has reservations going back to 2019 and has literally JUST gone into production, the first customer car hasn't even been delivered yet, and there's a massive global supply chain problem. There is literally no reason you would or should have a meaningful update right now, sorry.Early May this year. Order number 108* GTPE

Actually, I'm not expecting a date, per se, but rather _communication_ from a company you placed an order with.Personally I'd put this on your dealer improperly setting expectations. What if there's 15,000 vehicles in front of you and there's a global chip shortage? It also depends on your dealer, maybe they've ordered 2 years worth of allotment?Actually, I'm not expecting a date, per se, but rather _communication_ from a company you placed an order with.
They need to send UPDATES to customers, with something like this:
"Thank you for ordering our top-of-the-line Mach E. We're busy getting your order ready; there are 433 orders in front of you, so we expect to start assembling your vehicle in Nov of 2021. As always, this date could change and we will update you every two weeks on that estimate.
Thank you, if you have any questions, please call 888-123-3432 and we'll give you an update."
Is that really so hard?
