Figure I’ll be in here a bit to keep on the pulse of things. Picked up a ‘22 GTPE in grabber blue and some aftermarket rims.
Sad to be saying goodbye to my ‘11 Wrx modded 5dr which is a blast to throw around but it was time for a change.
the drive home in mild traffic today with all the new tech and those BOMB seats was next level. I’m excited to learn the characteristics of this new vehicle it’s my first BEV.

Welcome to the club! You won't regret making the change. My top recommendation would be to install a Level 2 charger in your garage so that you can charge mostly at home and avoid the aggravation of public charging unless you're on a road trip!

this is the best advice, public charging is a PIA and expensive if you need to rely on it for charging. BTW, check with your local utility you might be able to buy a charger from them at a discount.

Here's a doc with some useful info from ford about home install Home_Install_Spec_Sheet_0831_FINAL.pdf

You recommend a 3rd party charger over the one that came with the Mach e?

No, he’s saying make sure you have a 240v outlet properly wired to charge with.

You can use the charger that came with the car, there are better chargers out there if you’re into that sorta thing. ?

Emporia.
Only use the ford one when traveling, it’s not built to be used daily.
Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the club. I also replaced my 2011 WRX STi hatch with the MME GT.

IMO, the Mach-E GT is a better car in every category except for lightness, top speed and aftermarket support.

My wife hates the ride in both cars though... lol
I’ll miss the Wrx. super fun and treated me well for 11 years I’ve owned it. I’ll miss the ✌? signs when passing by another Wrx.

That said my quiet ride home in the Mach e with plush suspension, cushy seats and 1 pedal in traffic vs 3 pedals made me more secure in my decision.

Congrats! We traded in a 2011 WRX to get our First Edition Mach-E and since then we upgraded to a GT PE. The WRX was fun but I love the GTPE so much more. It is just effortlessly quick but also so much more functional. We're headed out on a road trip tomorrow and I'm so glad it is in the Mach-E.

Great to hear I’ve toiled for years what to drive next as nothing really got me excited. This vehicle feels right and far more sophisticated.
