Also agree with this, you really have to use quite a bit of force to get that 120v tail into in the charger - it needs to be completely within the charger, if it is sticking out, it likely is not all the way in and that final bit is the hardest part.

On the other hand, OP, I also had a wall outlet that works perfectly for everything else but just would not charge the Mach-E for whatever reason. Wouldn't trip or anything, just would not charge. If you have not yet done so, I also recommend trying a plug that is in a completely different part of your house as others have suggested.
YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!!!!! THAT WAS IT! I would have SWORN it was clicked in all the way!! Thank you so much!!! Not sure if my reply will show ALL to helped - but can't thank you guys enough. Saved me a trip back to the dealership!!!

Hi! Just got my car home - it was fully charged at dealership. I added a small charge at Whole Foods to test it out. No problem.
Tried to charge at home on the regular outlet - it starts for a moment on green - then goes to orange and says CHARGING PAUSED.
It would not resume no matter what. Tried multiple outlets. I'd get error messages saying "Unplugged" - which it's not.
Dealership is no help. And Ford Pass is no help. They said "you have to go charge it fully somewhere else before it works at home" which makes NO SENSE to me as it was charged at the dealership. Any help most appreciated! I'm down to 28%!
Hi Tiffany. Are you still experiencing concerns with your Mach-E charge? If so, please send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info. Thanks!

Solved!! This thread advice totally worked - it just needed to be pushed in further - a second click. I will say however, that the FORD PASS person incorrectly told me that for the 'first charge' I had to go to a charging station or it wouldn't work at home... ???

Ya..... You will very quickly find out that the dealerships and Ford support know nothing about the car. The answer they gave you is pretty absurd, people here pretty much knew the solution the second you asked.

If you run into issues the best bet is to search the forums or create a new post if you can't find anything.

No offense to anyone and just lightening up a stressful day……

I want to report discrimination…….where is the canned “plug the pigtail firmly into your charger response” and the “not another one who does not plug the charger in properly”…….Like you all give the folks complaining about winter range loss…….

Sorry, I am crying in laughter over this post…LOL

Anyway, this is what the forum is for, to help ANY Mach E Owner, with ANY type of issue. There is a lot of knowledge here….and it’s great to see it shared.

What the FordPass support person meant was that in order to set parameters for your HOME location in FordPass (or in the car), you FIRST need to have a charging session at that location. Then, you can indicate that the location is HOME, and setup things like charging times.

Keep in mind that if you're at 28% battery, and you're using 110v, you're going to gain ~3 miles of range per hour.

Whole Foods is likely a level 2 charger, and you probably gain about 20 miles in an hour. You'll want to setup your Plug and Charge account so you can use a high speed charger, like Electrify America, and use your 250 (or 500) free kWh of charging. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/how-to-enable-plug-charge-in-7-steps.3094/

The dealer's should be required to plug in the charger and make sure it works before delivering the vehicle. And there should be a tag on it that says "make sure the two parts are securely pushed together".

Fine if it makes you feel better, I’ll chastise the OP and help whoever the next person who does the same thing.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!

This diagram literally comes taped to the charging cord. And it has pictures like a Denny’s menu so even drunk people can understand!

I've not used my mobile charger yet, but if/when I ever do, I'll try it drunk at Denny's first and report back.

Good to hear, but can you update the title to includ "- SOLVED!" or something like that so people don't keep coming here to answer what's already been handled?

The pigtail not being plugged in all the way only comes up once a month; just yesterday 3 people discovered that their displayed range decreased/wasn't correct and felt compelled to ask "if anyone else was seeing it?"

...and then felt compelled to argue about it

Glad you got it fixed! There are more places to charge without a subscription than you may think if you need faster charging. Hope you are charging on 220V.
