Thanks for all the input guys. As it turns out, the Autonation glass guy broke the new windshield when he was installing it, so I'll have to go through this whole sh#t show again when the new glass arrives. I've already contacted everyone involved about the need for calibration and they're all onboard.
Another question - Anyone have an opinion about Ford windshields v. other OEM brands as it relates calibration for the MME?
Should have no impact on calibration, but why would you accept a non-OEM windshield? Ford doesn't make the glass, but it says "FORD" on it and is sound shield glass.

The new glass they put in (and broke) is something called Vitro Acoustech. Other than being broken in the lower passenger-side, looks like a nice unit. And the name implies some type of sound deadening. Heating elements for the camera area and wiper landing zones are present. Looks like it should work if they install it correctly. Anybody have experience with this brand?

Same deal. I had my windshield replaced by Glass America, they broke the camera and had to install a new one, but couldn’t recalibrate it. It had to be taken to the dealer to recalibrate and Glass America paid for that. You should get your windshield installer own up the recalibration at the dealer.

I had the windshield replaced on my used 2022 GTPE. The dealer paid for it and I had it done at Safelite using Ford OEM glass. They said they could not do the Mach e on-site, it needed to be at the shop. The tech hooked up some equipment to something, I’m guessing the obd2 connector, and went for 20 minute drive to do the calibration.

Everything worked fine after the repair.
I had the same experience with Safelite as Skyman63. No problems and it’s been about 9 months.

As long as it's a "CARLITE" windshield you should be okay. Watch out for the cheap PWE windshields. Sometimes the curvature is off and the camera will not calibrate.

so my winshield for job1 2021 was replaced and recalibrated. The windshield replacement crew had to calibrate the camera which worked well until early this year. So when doing my recall they reprogrammed modules. it worked 2 days and now gets faults 2-4x/ day. I will take it back soon to have them work on it. Since it is past the normal warranty period, I am glad I purchased an extended warranty .
