In the DMV as well. Hit a piece of metal in the road the week of Thanksgiving and caused a puncture in 2 passenger tires. Unrepairable as cut was in the shoulder of each tire. Was more concerned as to battery pack damage but there was none.

Picked these up during Black Friday/Cyber weekend on a set of 4 for less than $500 couldn't pass it up. Specs show as Summer performance and H rated not V but the load of 103 is on the money. Rolling for for about 3 weeks now and all is good.

Note: Premium 4x ER so 19" rim for me.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I was leaning toward them - my concern is the directional nature of them - are you finding unevem wear due to only being able to rotate front to back (instead of a round-robin) or is it just a matter staying on top of keeping the car aligned?
I rotate front to back every 5k miles..... evens up the outside front edges since they take a beating if you corner hard at all.

I went with the Hankook ion evo and am extremely happy with them over the stock tires.
There are quite a few people on the forum with those now. So many that I ordered a set for my car. There can be a 3 month lead time on car tires out here, so that should be about right.

I haven't noticed any uneven tread wear, although they have only been rotated the once so far. And I don't exactly flog my car hard or bounce it off of curbs.

I have had directional tires on other vehicles and as you say it's just a matter of making sure things stay aligned. Many of the local dealerships have gizmos to automatically check that as you drive in.

I got 40k+ out of my OEM tires. Wanted to replace them with slightly wider tire long ago, but waited until it was necessary to replace the originals.

Went with Michelin Primacy Tour A/S. 255/50 R19. I lean towards higher priced higher mileage warranty tires. I've always been happy with Michelin.

Slightly wider tire provides a bit of curb protection.

Pat, as of right now, I am not aware of any Run Flat EV specific tires that are available in the 19" and 20" tire sizes for the Mach-E. I do know that Pirelli has a brand new EV tire that was just released in Europe and will be here Q2 2024. The P Zero E is a newly designed EV tire with their new "RUNFORWARD" technology which is similar but different to their current run flat tires but made specifically for EV tires. It allows you to run up to 25 miles with 0 psi and is said to have a very smooth ride besides being extremely quiet. Pirelli told me their new P Zero E tires have the least rolling resistance of any EV tire they have made so far. They will only be available in the 245/45/20 and 255/45/20 sizes to fit the Mach-E's with 20" wheels.
Very interesting. I am going to put these on the list to consider instead of the Ion.

I really, really wish there was a way to compare rolling resistance between two different tires. I suspect the Ion is very low, but are these new Pirelli's lower? There is no way to know.

By the way, I read a 10% reducion in rolling resistance decreases wet traction by the same amount (10%). It's tough to build low rolling resistance tires that also perform well in bad weather.

Thanks for that!

Sort of a hybrid RFT and EV = great mix.

When it comes time for my 19" set to replace, I'll look for the P Zero E in 19"...

Which tire store franchise do you all recommend for replacements?

As far as rolling resistance, over here we don't rate tires for that but in Europe they do. They rate tires for noise, wet grip and rolling resistance and the only tires that have received a triple AAA rating for all three of these are the Hankook iON Evo's and the new Pirelli P Zero E's.

This is interesting to read about the Pirellis.

Does anyone know what Ford is using as the OEM tires on the 2023 GT (20")?

I just bought the P Zero Elect tires for my CA RT1 (18”). Have another thread debating than or the Hankook Ion Evo ones. Both seem like excellent options.

Generally a better experience to a the stock Primacy A/S. No noticeable efficiency gains/losses (yet), similar road noise, better handling.

Definitely better traction on curves and behaves well and predictably.
