Day 3 Update: It will be at least another day, likely more according to the service manager.

The good news: The dealer has reached out to the Engineers at Ford.

The Bad news: As it is explained by my service manager (who does not speak IT) There is some kind of communications problem between the Ford server or configuration that they see and what is seen in my car.

I feel bad for the tech assigned to my car because they are ~20 shop hours into this without resolution but am hopeful the dealer will get it solved.

The score is still OTA 0 Dealer 0

Next round tomorrow.
I wonder if that relates to my issue. a configuration mismatch between Ford and my vehicle
I'm in a similar spot where they're at. When I turn lane centering off and back on and hit ok quickly this pops up.

mine did the exact same thing, but a few days later a new IPC & GWM update showed up and that fixed it for me.

Can someone do a VIN check on my car? It's day 3 of 21G01 programming, and I haven't heard back from the dealer with an update. It would be nice to know where things stand with my Mach E before I reach out to the dealer.

It looks like your dealer has been applying updates all morning, as well as running some configuration routines, but your car still has a few outstanding updates availalbe.

It looks like your dealer has been applying updates all morning, as well as running some configuration routines, but your car still has a few outstanding updates availalbe.

Thanks for this update!! Are those additional updates needed before completing the 21G01 programming? The service employee called me this morning with an update saying that it was updating for 9 hours yesterday. She said the technician ran into an issue this morning. She said crash alerts keep popping up and that the Blue Cruise icon disappeared. She said they are on the phone with Ford engineers to troubleshoot. Hmmmmmm.

The APIM update is definitely part of it.

Yes, once the updates are complete and functionality tested, the dealer should close the FSA.

Had a local dealer perform 21G01 update a few days ago. Based on the service report, GWM, TCU, APIM, GWM, IPMA, APIM and IPC were updated, APIM hard reset twice, codes cleared and test drove. But there still no HandsFree Driving Mode option or BlueCruise enabled. Sync4 is still on 21281_Product Revision 244. Wondering if the dealer correctly performed the update or left out some modules. Would anyone mind running my VIN? Thanks.

FWIW, here's another data point (FE, Build date 12/20). I did the hours long FDRS update March 14, before the detailed instructions of 21G01, just followed the FDRS instructions, no problems. It did take hours.

I show no more updates on FDRS, Sync Ver. 358 (understand I need to get to 364). Intelligent cruise control option is gone now too (no loss until someday they add % over instead of MPH over, I don't like it, I dont' use it).

There is no bluecruise/hands free under my connected services, and I received no email.

I had OTA turned off, which might have delayed my VIN (or not). OTA with schedule is turned on. Last time I had OTA turned off, FordPass complained that I had a pending update, so maybe not the problem. Maybe they are just not to VIN on some list yet.

The thing says "bluecruise" all over the place now, but no "hands free" anywhere yet (I did the APIM FDRS reset twice, now that I have read 21G01)

I think lane hold is now far less available than it used to be. I play with it often, and used to get the blue bubble pretty easy, even on many local roads. Now the blue bubble comes on slowly and infrequently. The system does watch and warn me if it thinks I am not viewing the road, so some hands off functionality is part way there.

I think (?) nothing is hung, and I am just waiting for my VIN number to come up in the Ford system to finish the update cycle (?). I check FDRS everyday. It shows no updates, so I guess I have no way to get to Sync 364 until they give me that APIM update on my FDRS SW Update page.

I think I liked copilot 360 functionality better before all this started, but Ford usually sorts things out fine, so maybe I will like bc hands free later ...
