Day 7 update: Still no BC. My car is sitting at the dealer and hasn't actually been touched since the 7th.

The good news: I received a call from Ford and have a tracking number. Something was done on the server side to ping my car and I am hopeful the missing update will show up in FDRS when the dealer tech checks my car in the morning. Fingers and toes crossed.

The dealer indicated the job 1 F150's and MME's are piling up for them with the same problem. Because the Squeaky wheel gets the grease, the more this squeaks the faster it will get solved.

The Bad news: Another day buying gas for my loaner. (you really appreciate the MME when you drive something less again!)

The score is still OTA 0 Dealer 0 but there is the light at the end of the tunnel.
I opted to let the car do this OTA. Yes I did sign up for EA and it worked better than any of the other OTA's. I think after this that ford has the OTA process down.

It's a shame that the rest of us can't get access to EA treatment. I applied for it many months ago. No response.

Yeah especially when you see who they DID let in
I don't remember when I opted in but it was a long time ago, maybe around the time I took delivery of the car. Also, my car was built in Feb 2021 and delivered in March 2021 so who they let in could be based on build dates/trim levels or some other criteria we don't know.

It was all filled up by the time I took delivery in late July. I languished on the waitlist for months prior to withdrawing.

The good news is Bluecruse is great, worth the wait. It appears OTA is becoming a smooth process. One of the updates took over an hour to complete

I mean the people who think they deliver OTAs over satellite or don’t know what a beta is

Based on the numbers on the OTA poll it does not look like very many people are in EA.

That's great to hear. I guess my patience is finally starting to wear thin. My car has been sitting at 2.3.0 since 1/20. At least throw me 2.4.1 as a bone. ??

I think the next one 2.4.2 is a big update, with the Brake pedal feel becoming much smoother and smoothness improvements of 1 pedal drive mode.

For a long time I wondered why they didn’t just push 2.4.1 to everyone since Blue Cruise seems to start at 2.4.2. My current theory is, because 2.4.1 is a GWM update, any issues they have installing subsequent updates could be remedied by tweaking 2.4.1. So that update may be the one that sees the most adjustments before final release. The gateway to Blue Cruise if you will. Again, just a theory.

Yeah, really looking forward to that. I'm already about 95% satisfied with the brake feel so I'm very interested in trying out the new calibration.

I’m curious to feel that too. Back when I used the brake pedal I always thought I had to push a little farther down the pedal than I was used to to get it to stop.

This process does seem to be getting a lot smoother. From Thursday I have gone from 2.4.1 to 2.5.2 and BlueCruise is now showing up in my Managed Services. It may all be delayed but I can see where going with a small group first was a good move for them. There were clearly more bugs to work out of OTA then they expected. I think there is light at the end of the tunnel though.
