What? No new car smell?
My Mach E officially exists now, status has changed to producedMines been stuck in the trim line for a few days now
Mine is scheduled for Jan 4th. Since you reside in San Diego, it may arrive faster than mine since I reside on the South East coast. Waited that long, couple more weeks don't matter. My MachDrop FE now has a specific build date of Jan 8 (dealer communicated) - not holding breath to that date though
Yeah - at this point I am trying hard to not think of the delivery date - given the delays and uncertainty.Mine is scheduled for Jan 4th. Since you reside in San Diego, it may arrive faster than mine since I reside on the South East coast. Waited that long, couple more weeks don't matter.
Others got the same message. After checking the FordPass App, there was a FordPass Connect message telling me to activate the car. I was pretty excited. When I click on “vehicle details”, all I see is an option to setup a vehicle hotspot. Anyone have any ideas what’s going on? (Build week 6 December)![]()

I wish FordPass would stop sending out that message. As far as I know, only 3 people here were able to connect successfully and that was likely an anomaly. We suspect there was someone in the car at the time the request was sent and they hit the OKAY or ACCEPT button. Those folks have since been disconnected via master reset performed at the vehicle. After checking the FordPass App, there was a FordPass Connect message telling me to activate the car. This is a great explanation. It’s starting to make sense now. Like you said, wish Ford/the app would stop with these types of messages.I wish FordPass would stop sending out that message. Normally the request to connect results in failure. Early on, it sent Ford Pass into a loop where it was trying to connect for days and never was able to do it successfully. Only solution was to uninstall the app. Since then the app has been updated and now it times out at least. The online version of Ford Pass has the OTA feature disabled. Not sure if it's related to this issue but I don't think we should be attempting to connect with the vehicle until it arrives at the dealership.
Well my Ford Page still shows this...Last week was my build week....my car still doesn't exist yet.
They have access to the Ford internal reporting systems, or the dealers provide the detail requested...Well my Ford Page still shows this...

I need to look into how others are getting these "in the trim line" or 'in the body shop" updates...
Try it. If it works, you can play with the car until they reset the computer to put it in transport mode.I wish FordPass would stop sending out that message.
