Poll: First EV or not?

Would be nice to get some perspective from folks on this topic.

1. I am only talking about BEV

2. The use case I’m trying to get at is whether people are seeing Teslas are their ONLY choice when it comes to diving into their first BEV purchase OR they’re willing to give MachE or other non Tesla EV a try now that so many options are available.

3. Back when I got my Model 3 in 2018, I think Leaf was the only other option but it was largely a very limited in town ownership use case. Now thankfully there are so many options. And yet, many flock to Tesla because of the strong network and street publicity and range advertising.

First electrified vehicle of any kind...we considered a PHEV but decided to jump in with both feet. We're hooked...unless we're buying something "vintage", going forward anything we buy will be electrified (preferably BEV).

I never thought I would buy an EV.

Don't like the Government mandating them at all.

Then I saw the MME at the Ford dealership and I was smitten...

MME was my second EV and I've had two more after the MME. Total of 4 in 3 years.

Had a Tesla first, and was sold on EV's at that point. We needed another car to replace my gas SUV, but I did not want to have two Teslas. MME came to the rescue!

Had a VW eGolf and was hooked on the silent ride and quick pickup (but it's nothing close to MME or Tesla).
The only thing that I really disliked about my eGolf was the range... Sticker advertised 110, I could never get more than 90.
After 7 years of ownership, I could not get more than 45 - it's currently in the shop getting couple of new battery modules. While I was waiting for battery to get repaired, I decided to pull the trigger on MME

MME was my first EV, my second EV as well. And, to be honest, nothing else in the market is compelling to me right now. And nothing coming down the pipeline anytime soon seems compelling, tbh.

did most of my driving on electricity, honestly can’t even remember the last time I put gas in my jeep.

I cast a no vote because I had a PHEV prior to the MME. The MME is my first BEV. ??

Had a Tesla, got the MME when the lease ran out. My wife and I have EVs as daily drivers, the nanny drives a hybrid minivan, and we have an ICE SUV slowly decaying from disuse in the driveway.

Voted yes because my view is an EV is not a hybrid or even a PHEV-these polls always leave room for erroneous voting.

Had an Outlander PHEV before. Really impressed. 130,000 miles in that car.

Owned MME since June 2021, used it for business lugging half a Tonne of tools around over 72,000 miles and never going back to ICE.

Got me a 3-phase 22kW charge point in garage so can full charge at home in 7 hours, air source heat pump central heating also fitted so burning no fossil fuel, am doing more that COP23 single-handed?
