I might have missed/forgot it in the saga, but where did you go? I’m naturally worried about my ‘21 GTPE. I got my car from Autonation Tustin but have never actually serviced it anywhere, but my inclination is to go there since it’s close to me.
I, personally, just hate autoNation. Some have good experiences but go where you can get in lol. Tuttle Click in Irvine now knows how to handle this promptly and properly, so I’d suggest them if you get the problem. AutoNation probably hasn’t encountered it yet.

Your dealer was much nicer than the one I got stuck at in Alhambra -- they won't even give me any documentation from the work that was done on my car.
That’s just so insane but definitely worth getting your car back then still waiting for paperwork lol. Have they still gone dark? As many others, my recall notice popped in FordPass. Hopefully it goes away in a couple weeks, showing they were successful in clearing it with Ford.

Interesting. I’ve never dealt with service at Tustin or Irvine but when I was placing my order Tustin was way friendlier to me. That’s why they got my business.

Yeah, you sometimes have a “purchase dealer” and a “service dealer.” I bought my old Premium from a dealer in Puente Hills and my current GTPE from Costa Mesa Ford. Tuttle Click has some of the highest markups around and doesn’t budge. Would probably never buy a car from them, even if things were ever “normal” again since they’d probably always be higher than others. But for service, their manager and director are both great, manager more so, so I like them for service.

Yea, certainly makes sense. The fact that Irvine now has hands on experience with this issue, if this should happen to me, I’ll drive the extra 10 minutes south to head there.

Made it safely to work today, the route home is when I got my last SVS message, but it seems to be rockin' and rollin'. Placebo effect, I'm sure, but definitely feeling like I can push it to a higher MPH before the gray bars really take me out. Doubtful it is related to the new part as I was experiencing this after I had done the recall updates with my last HVBJB that failed.
Does the car feel like the "5 second limit" is gone?

Nope dealer totally ghosted me, and the Ford customer service dude for my case has explained, as if this is what happens at all car dealers:

"there are a number of channels warranty and recall work must go through before the claim is completed. General customers are not included in this process because they are not paying out of pocket for the work performed. Dealerships will may wait to give a customer their vehicle back to them just depending on the process time. In this case yes you have you vehicle back, but the Service advisor and warranty clerk still need to process the repair order in order to be paid for the job. Once this is done they should be able to provide us that completed paper work."

He won't answer me when this complex process will produce a receipt for the work they did on my car. And the 22S41 recall isn't cleared for my VIN in Ford's systems. If I need to lemon-law my car, I also have no documentation of taking the car to the dealer and what they did that didn't solve the problem.

So I've filed a complaint with the California State licensing board for auto repair shops. They'll be investigating Bob Wondries Ford of Alhambra to find out why they don't provide customers with an invoice of the work they did on a car, including Federally-mandated Safety Recall documentation. All auto repair shops have to do this under CA state law to maintain their license.

I'm really lucky: they seemed to have fixed my car under the supervision of a Ford field engineer that was sent down to the dealer to supervise, and they didn't damage my car as other awesome Ford dealers have done.

But would I ever buy another Ford? Experiences such as with this dealer make me say, probably not.

Nope, definitely still there. I’ll try some WOTs tomorrow, but just feels like when you’re at speed, takes a bit longer to hit the full power wall.
I tell ya with the latest update to PCM and SOBDMC (I think it was that one) and my spicy robust meatball in the pack, I'm finding the jailbars are less and disappear very quickly. I don't wanta spread rumors, but I feel like things are less power-limited.

Remember I got my car back only because I went down there and made a scene. They knew that I was 600 miles from home and paying for a hotel and needed to get out of there, yet they still didn't give a crap about me.

It's been a week after getting my car back, and no paperwork or any phone calls returned by them. I'll stop venting now -- really, I am lucky this wasn't much worse. I will post a video soon of what a complete craphole their service lot is, it looks like a junkyard.

I’m experiencing the same, so far, from what I’ve driven today but I was preoccupied with work calls most of the time while driving so I wasn’t pushing too hard.

That’s so crazy. For my Premium, I had it in at Tuttle Click and they did the glass recalls but also had to do some stuff with my IPC in tandem with Ford engineering. Since they put all the work on the same ticket, and my IPC issue wasn’t resolved and needed more backend figuring out what to do with Ford engineers, they had to leave the ticket open so they could keep billing against it, but that meant they couldn’t submit my recall or provide me with a closed work order. In that case, I understood.

But even then! I was annoyed by the badge and Ford was taking forever so I called and asked for a manager and they were able to split my ticket so the warranty work could be submitted. There are definitely ways to do it, they just sound like they’re lousy and lazy!

Man, I might take sometime out of my day and drive down there for you. That’s just unacceptable and pisses me off!

I would buy you a robust beer or a 1000A burrito if you were to ask on my behalf. I regret not taking video when I showed up to get my car.

If that is indeed true, it implies that Ford engineers knew from the very beginning that the old part could not take much load and they power-limited the GTs to protect the HVBJB.

Well I think it's pretty obvious that Ford implemented a strategy of the GT's having to derate their power to prevent issues such as the ones afflicting the HVBJBs.

I'm not sure there was a master plan here, but I would put $1 on there being less power limiting that I've seen today. It seems like the power limitation timing is shorter. I think there might be a little less derating going on with the extra spicy parts and software, but I think someone would have to hammer two identical cars except for the robust box, and compare.

You almost need a camera just taking video of the power meter (the jail bars are sooo small) to compare when they go away after giving it the beans.
