2021 FE. Still on 6.1.0. I don’t even care about BC at this point… I just want 6.2.0 to turn off my motion sensors. Ford must internally be referring to this delay as “the Mirak inhibit.”
You're in EA right? I'm suspecting .2 .3 and .4 will hit pretty quickly for you "soon". Or at least hopefully!

I haven't seen any difference in turning off motion sensors. After getting 6.2.0 I turned off "Ask on Exit" and disabled motion sensors. It only stayed off until 6.3.0 came out. I disabled again. Then 6.4.0 and I had to turn them off again.

I checked my MME for any outstanding updates waiting to come through. When I checked Software Updates, the screen says it is waiting for 5.1.1 to be completed. I called Ford CS yesterday to find out what version my car is running on. The rep could not give me a good answer! not a good comfort level

Is there a way to find out my software version? The thread above says members are waiting for 6.3.0 and 6.4.0! I feel I'm falling further behind

Any thoughts?

I *want* Ford to be better at rolling out updates, but I don't expect them to be at that point yet, and I am OK with that. This is a work in process. At least they acknowledge that the cars have things to improve upon, and they list some information and notify car owners when an update has been applied. I like Volvo's update process better, but Ford is way ahead of Toyota at least, and probably ahead of several other car companies.

It’s pretty common for OTA updates to screw with certain settings. I can live with that as long as they stay off between OTAs.

Well, ask on exit stays off between updates, but completely turning off motion sensors will not stay turned off after the car is turned off and then back on. This is how it's always been in my car and the update did not change anything. I've had that dang alarm go off so many times when my wife/kids stay in the car when I run in somewhere to so something quickly.

I don't have time to turn it off every power cycle.

That's by design. I don't agree with it, but that's the way Ford wants it to work.

@adamtstipp and @generaltso - if this is true, then that is very concerning and disappointing because that is not what the 6.2.0 release notes promised.

EDIT: Turns out I’m wrong, this is not what Ford promised. All Ford says in the release notes is…

No need to sound the alarm This update will allow you to easily turn the motion sensor alarm OFF from the vehicle settings screen or alert popup. That means when you have a passenger or pet inside, they can move around while you do the
same outside.
No promise that when you go six taps deep into the settings to turn off the alarms, they will STAY off. These damned aholes. Eff all of them.

I noticed a different UI element in my 6.2.0 update that installed yesterday (Non-EA) and I was curious if this change existed in 6.4.0 as well. As seen in the first picture if a Wi-Fi network is in range I get the typical Wi-Fi icon, and if it wasn’t the area next to the location services element was empty. As seen in the second photo there is now the cell signal icon showing “zero bars.” Has anyone else had this new UI element in 6.4.0 (Or 6.3.0/6.0.2)?

Hmm. I got notification earlier today that an update had been applied. Figured it was this, but when I read the notes, it was 3.5.3

I've only had the car for a few weeks now, and there's still quite a bit I'm figuring out. Should I be chatting with my dealer about this?

Same thing happened to me. I sent a nice email to them and they added me back.

Get a mongoose and sub to FDRS for a weekend and get all of your updates done. You're behind and ford dealers WILL NOT do this for you.

Not sure if there's a mongoose rental thread here, but I believe one of the 2 forums has one for the attic (CA)
