The fifth nightly scheduled attempt of 6.6 installation finally succeeded, with no environmental changes: each time the car was inside a garage 2-3 hours into an L2 charging session.

Yeah don’t buy it’s showing 12v %. Checked several times in the past 2 days and it’s always synched with main battery.

My car has been trying to install 6.6.0 every night at the scheduled time since last Thursday, and it always got rescheduled to the next day. It was plugged in every night, and during the first three nights a dip in current draw from the ChargePoint HomeFlex was present at the scheduled installation time, except last night when no dip was recorded. Manually selecting "Update Now" (right after driving for 40-60 minutes) and then walking away to let it do its things also never got past the pre-installation check phase, complaining that it got interrupted. Between the two there have been a total of 10 attempts now. Never had any earlier updates requiring more than two attempts to complete successfully. It went through four updates in quick succession bringing the car from 6.1 to 6.4 in four days, before getting stuck.
If you need specific help or want to know why it failed, send me your VIN

^^^ Wow my apologies. That is so strange. Shocked mine is at 94% and I haven't driven it in 2 days.
It only updates if you drive or charge your vehicle. So the reading could be several days old if parked.

Website shows 94% for me, car is only charged to 80% so it’s the 12V battery. Also confirmed via scan tool. Maybe it’s different for you but I think it’s probably coincidental you had both at 69%.

I think Ford may be closing the loophole.

At least my car gets something different.

I can still get it if I navigate away from the dashboard then return.

I just had 6.6.0 installed early this morning. The release notes are... lacking. I was hoping to figure out what changed here, but most of this thread is written in acronyms. Is there like a glossary or something somewhere that defines them? Failing that, is there anyone who understands what this update did, and is capable of summarizing in English?

Thanks

6.6.0 requires more power than other updates, so may be more difficult. Read the failed OTA sticky in this section, if that doesn’t work let me know.

It’s powertrain software that controls the motors, braking, and charging.

Sorry, but it's been checked and rechecked repeatedly. As of right now, for many of us, it's the 12v battery state and that's fine. My car is currently at 80% soc on the HVB and 91% on the LVB as confirmed by both the OBD2 reader plus carscanner, and the website. I prefer it this way tbh.

If you are having trouble getting any of these 6.x updates to install, I've been totally successful with these simple steps, assuming the update is downloaded and you have the option to "Update Now":
1. Go for a drive
2. When you get home, place the Mach E in park
3. Plug in your L2 charger making sure your charging schedule will activate
4. Turn off headlights
5. Select "Update Now"
6. Turn off car
7. Lock car

The combination of driving the car to give the battery a boost and the LVB conditioning during L2 charging seems to do the trick for me. I've had a couple that I tried to "Update Now" while away from home that failed. However, doing it at home while plugged in has worked, despite temperatures in the 30s to 40s.
