Thats not true. The breaker is there as a safety limit to the wiring, plug and max current of installed downstream load. It does not matter if the EVSE is only 16 amp or 48 amp. It is installed to protect the weakest link in the circuit.
I stand corrected! I also confirmed with ChargePoint that it’s fine to run it at a lower charging current. But isn’t it generally true that a device might not be adequately protected (depending on its design) if it is on a circuit with a breaker that is too high (even assuming that the wiring of the circuit is correct for that breaker)?

Simply, no. It is protected up to 48A. More puts on a load too close to the 60A breaker's limit for safety. Logically, it follows that fewer amps would be fine, and it is.

Part of the code not only covers the circuit design, but all appliances that are UL approved in the US. They also have to have a overcurrent protection inside. Often a fuse or fusible link. Operating at lower than design is actually good for the longevity of the device. Less heat. All electronic devices like less heat.

Just poking around at the poll results, it seems most of those who have received the Tesla supercharger update have 2021 vehicles (a few 2022s). I have a 2023 and the last update I received was SVD-FX. According to the poll, many other 23s are waiting with me.
Yep. 2023 Premium and still at SVD-FX since 2/23.

We've got a 23 Prem. also and was stuck at svd-fx since 2/21. Yesterday we were at lunch and I saw that the Tesla update was ready to install so I initiated it. When we got home I saw that the unx-dc was ready to be installed, so we got two updates in about 4 hours.

Upon reading this, I went out to the garage and checked, and the Tesla update was waiting. It’s now installing. ?

Just got 23-PU1113-UNX-DC today. 2021 Job 2. Changed Vote.
I got this also today but if I change my vote , what does that really mean. These updates are not in order so it’s just moving things around, seems meaningless at this point

Car received 24-PU0119-DC-CHG4 today while parked at dealer for recall fixes for over 12 days .. LVB around 53% since it is just sitting at the dealer. Power up 6.8.0 received a while back and no other power ups for some time.

I take a screen shot every time my app gives a OTA update message. All OTAs that have downloaded have been installed to the best of my knowledge. I have had installations fail but once I resolved the 12V issues they went fine. Here is the list and order that they happened:

12/12/23 6.3.0
12/14/23 6.7.1
12/20/23 23-PU0722-DC-CHG3
12/20/23 6.13.0
01/30/24 23-PU0110-RAD-PS
01/30/24 23-PU0630-RGT-PLO
02/03/24 23-PU0907-RAD-ON
02/28/24 24-PU0102-SVD-FX
03/06/24 23-PU1113-UNX-DC
03/07/24 24-PU0119-DC-CHG4

They have mostly installed in the order that they were "meant" to by Ford. However, I am missing the following:

10/23 6.4.0, 6.2.1 or PU1103-NAT-VCE, 6.2.0
11/23 6.5.0 or 23-PU0725-CLMFX
12/23 23-PU1024-MCPFX, 6.8.0, 6.7.0
02/24 24-PU0105-CMRFX, 24-PU0102CHGSUFX

I have a 2023 GT so maybe not all of these are applicable. I want to contact someone at Ford to see if I can get anything I missed resent. Does anyone know which ones are relevant to my car?
