I got this message just 3 days short of a year with the car. Dealer applied a software update and haven’t seen it again since then.

Fingers crossed mine has the same resolution!

Anybody have any updates in regards to their specific situations above. Just had this same thing happen today. ‘22 Premium that I just took delivery of in October. Under 1m old and got this issue while charging. Got a charge fault error and it stopped charging. Then FordPass app updated to display the Powertrain Malfunction / reduced power error. Got the service light in the car. And scheduled service message too. Waited 30m and plugged it back in and it’s now charging fine. Scheduled a Mx appt at the dealer for 3 weeks out. Trying to see if this is more serious and if I need to try to get in sooner.

I just got this error after charging on a Chargepoint L2 charger for 4 hours. On the 3.6.1 update for a while now (since Oct 28?). Been using DCFC most of the time with no issues. I had our HVBJB replaced November 2021. No apparent acceleration or other issues, so I'm hoping it's just a software glitch. If someone has any tips on how to diagnose, please let me know. Thanks!

I have been getting this message off and on since October. Dealership checked it out like 3 weeks ago and couldn’t figure out. Reset the light and sent me on my way. Now it’s back again. Very frustrating

reset is NOT a fix.

Dealership should have pulled error codes, and could have easily determined whether or not HVBJB replacement was indicated per TSB-22-2178

It's confusing. Initially Ford said the only ones built before May 25 were affected but this one says otherwise not until 5/29/22. Mine 22 select was built from 5/25/22 through 5/26/22, I have driven 3385 miles, so far so good. Knock on wood.

First a charging fault then I unplugged and started the car and was greeted with “Service vehicle soon”.

The good news is that not every “Service Vehicle Soon” message is related to the HVBJB failure. The bad news is that there are a metric ton of things that could trigger that message. You’ll need to pull the DTC codes to get an idea of what’s going on.

I never ended up taking in my car. I got this after my first set of power up updates started rolling in… car sat for about an hour. Plugged back in and charged just fine. Haven’t seen the issue since.

That might be the drive shifter bug that occurs when you try to change the drive mode without pressing the brake pedal. However you said it happened after charging, so maybe not.

I think the code will still be there until it is cleared out. I would not clear it out until you have the dealer check it.

I took my job 1 in 8 days ago because of SVS. HV Battery Warning and Powertrain Malfunction Reduced Power showed in FP. Car has sat since at the dealer with no movement or communication, not even diagnosed yet. A few days ago the messages disappeared from FP. Frustrated with this dealer to say the least. I have Securialert enabled but have received nothing. The car is still sitting in the same place. I’ll be damned if they call me and say there’s nothing wrong.

I live almost an hour from my dealer. I have to arrange a ride to drop off and pick up. Rental? LOL that’s funny. Maybe if they diagnose it, maybe.

I got this the svs and hv messages last Sunday. Merry Christmas. The park brake wouldn't release. Had it towed to Dealer. They say I need a new park brake actuator. I picked up the car last Friday. No loaners available.

Say it could be middle of January before the part arrives from Ford. Hope it's sooner.
