My updates got botched a few weeks back after ford sent the 23's IPC update which triggered a chain of failures of subsequent updates. I was able to get around the situation on thursday and normal updates resumed. If you're an EA vehicle and you're not getting regular updates you're in update purgatory until they kick out something to fix it.

You do realize that the use of the navigation doesn't change your range, right? It only gives you a lower estimate (guess).
If you don't mind, let's just leave my Delusions intact!!!

Can you advise how to fix it? It wasn't just 23s. I have a Job 2 2021 and did that IPC update that bonked me getting the updates after (GWM, APIM, etc.). Nothing is appearing in FDRS or OTA since the ACM update.

It's the 23's software they sent to 21 IPC and that's what caused it. 23 software on a 23 won't break it. It's not a simple fix.

Thats what I mean. It kills my range on the guess-o-meter. Its horribly wrong! It takes 40 miles off my range for a 15 mile commute. When I travel that route without using the built in navigation I use between lose between 15 and 20 miles from my range (guess-o-meter).

So, let me get this straight. You'd rather the Guess-o-Meter be horribly optimistic rather than accurate?

but its not accurate. Theres no way it can use 40 miles for a 15 mile commute where I have consistently proven that it does not use 40 miles of range. I drive this route everyday and the max variation is 5 miles max and thats if im driving consistently over 70 mph. When I do use Ford's navigation and let "Intelligent" range prediction tank my guess-o-meter, it wont go down as im driving. Ill drive for 10 miles or more before the guess-o-meter even begins to go down. Clearly their algorithm is wrong.

The car doesn't use 40 miles of range in a 15 mile commute. It uses the information about current conditions during that 15 mile commute to recalculate the total range of the vehicle based on the latest information. The intelligent range system is determining that your entire vehicle range is now 25 miles (40-15) less than it thought based on the information it had when you started up the car.

However, unless you are giving the car a destination that will use the full charge, even that will be readjusted later. The GOM has no idea where else you will go, how fast you will go to get there, or conditions at that time. Ford, unlike some car companies, would prefer to give you a conservative estimate of range to help you avoid running out of juice on your trip rather than giving you an overly optimistic estimate then suddenly dropping your range after you've passed the last available fast charger.
