Mines worked correctly since I got my car early 2022 so not sure that power up would be the issue, unless it introduced a bug.

Does this option (in Ford Pass app) work for anyone?

It's strangely only in the phone app and not in the car controls proper.

The car will pre-condition to the departure times while plugged to a charger, as expected. It does not when un-plugged, even though this toggle in the app suggests that it should.

Can not remember ever seeing that toggle is that new? You will not need that toggle as it should aways be plugged in coming soon. Canada Eh. I would leave it off and if unplugged would use the remote start button about 15 minutes before you leave up here if you just want you warm and not the batteries. Car drives better with warm batteries and only does it when plugged into L2 so keeping it plugged and departure scheduling is what I have been trying to do. The up-plugged toggle is a bit confusing and not needed as you always have cabin heat with the remote start button.

Though I have found FordPass to be more reliable lately.
1 for 1 with only one no response from fordpass before it said it went. Fingers crossed.

Good suggestion. I'll do that.
I do not use departure times but I have a question myself - do you have to set departure times based on charging location or do you set times and they work at any location?

It doesn’t seem to be tied to a location.

I don’t know why charge limit is tied to a location. Stupid if you ask me.

Just wondering if departures and comfort settings would have to be set by location and I agree it would be ridiculous if that were the case as is charge limit.

They aren't location specific.

Please let me know if it works or not while your car is un-plugged.
It worked. All I did was flip the switch in the app last night.

I now wonder if that is a feature only in the app, meaning the app has setup the timer on the phone and sends a remote start message to the car at the set time.

Only the day and time departure scheduling screen. I don't see any "Pre-condition cabin while unplugged" toggle in the car controls. That button is only in the phone app.
I'd prefer that the car actually did what the control settings say it's supposed to do.

The car has a cabin conditioning schedule feature. I expect it to work.

The app has a "Pre-condition cabin while unplugged" option. I expect that to work too.
Wow! Such high expectations! Rather than remove from app, we will leave it, knowing customer would never expect it to do what it says.

Just for clarity: your cabin was preconditioned, but not your battery.

What you heard was the pump that was circulating heated fluid through the heater core. You probably know this, but for others reading this thread, the only way to check the battery temp is with an ODB dongle and an app like CarScanner.

This option used to be called "Scheduled Start" back in the day before the Mach-E and Lightning. They should have never changed the name.
