Yeah this is the OBCC as referenced in the prior couple posts. Nothing to speculate about. It resolved issues with certain EVGO chargers and doesn't change charge curve or have anything to do with the recall or the HVBJB.
Thank you!

Thanks for the clarity.

Is there a reason these trickle out so slowly?

I still hold out hope that the updates are more on par with phone updates where the entire fleet is updated in a few days when these things come out.
Ford intended the MME to be 100% OTA... Things didn't go as intended. They just have a bumpy road they're traveling.

Wouldn't it be great if the notes said "resolved DC charging issues with EVGo chargers?" #ThisIsNotHard

Yeah, cool, I was just wondering what the new peak was after the updates I got
Depending on how hot the battery is, what SOC you started DCFC etc it varies. Also keep in mind that the values reported by the car don't include loss by the car or the station. So if you look at total billable consumption I've seen mid 50s in the 80% SOC range but normally when starting in that range or slightly before it. Most of the time I get between 45-48kw and sometimes up to 51. On hot days like my DCFC Saturday in 105 degree weather i was only getting 42kw at 80 SOC. I've even seen the kw go up as it gets closer to 90 SOC which I posted about here a while back.

In general, mid 40s to low 50s should be expected if you have the charge curve updates.

Just finished DCFC a few minutes ago and see the same 48kw after 80% SOC. Lots of grays bars for about 2-3mins now all gone as guess the battery temps came down
Here's a tip... If you go to 85+ SOC you won't get gray bars when you unplug normally. The higher the kw delivery at the moment of unplug, the more gray bars you'll see.

Thanks for that tip. I did have a issue for a few seconds disconnecting from the FPL evolution charger.

I’ve started pushing the DC disconnect button that’s next to the plug on the car and works every time and don’t get a phantom charge fault error

The Sync Access screen has a button for L3 disconnect also.

Think about how boring this forum would be though. I prefer rampant ambiguity so we can recklessly speculate.

After 21P22 my charge rate drops to 40 kWh at 80%. Where you’re at a fast charger that charges per minute/hour, your kWh cost doubled or tripled due to this. Before 21P22 it would drop to 12 kWh at 80%

Yep. I've always done that (over 100 DCFCs now) and it's dependable. Much cleaner than hitting stop on the charger. Plus it's easier. Gotta unplug anyway, so just use the button right there.

I usually only got the charge fault when I stopped on EA stations but I got it on an EVGO station for the first time the other day so gonna be doing it all the time now
