I’m curious what will happen for my car since I got this OBCC update at the dealer last month, does the OTA just skip?

In my experience, you dont even get offered the OTA.

I keep my car updated with FDRS and think I've only ever had one or two OTAs back in the early days.

If your car got targeted for the OTA, and the dealer updated right before it got sent to the car, it will try and fail because it sees the versions it expected to be there are different and then It won't try again. Early on, the user would get a failure notice in fordpass, but this may have been resolved so you don't see a failure.

But since your car was updated last month, Ford's system knows you're already updated and won't even attempt to push to your car.

This popped for me last night and man what timing. I’m currently driving halfway across the country to relocate and I noticed 3 things with this update after charging 4 times.

1. The handshake at an EA station where I have plug and play enabled for my car went from 45-60 seconds to 5-10
2. I haven’t had to put any pressure on the connection. With EA stations before I had to stand there and pull UP on the connection to support it while it was starting. I haven’t done that since the update and it hasn’t failed.
3. It def seems to charge with a more consistent kw/h

Ha same! Was just notified that it will install during the next update window - tonight at 2.

Just got it today in the U.K. No EA chargers here so will it make any difference? As far as I'm aware no EVGO public chargers here also. Oh well anything is better than silence. Only 6 months behind the U.S.
