On my first drive home from the dealer, BlueCruise w/hands free Worked like a charm. After that first drive it didn't work. Of course after that first drive I went through all the settings, tweaked, added key profiles, added PAAK, etc. Even though I had BlueCruise and hands-free ticked on in all the profiles and lane centering on, it still would not offer hands-free. I decided to delete all the profiles and completely reset Sync. After that, it worked again for the next 2 drives, which was several days ago. I have not had another drive where hands-free would be offered, so not sure if it is still working. I feel like it might have something to do with profiles. ?‍♂

Have a 3 day old '23 model and the only one of these problems I have is the Youtube being terrible. I only charge at home so do not care but literal graphing calculators have better performance than the Mach-E youtube app

2. Bluecruise doesn't turn on
I drove across 60 miles of 405 highway and I could never get the blue cruise to activate. I followed all of the steps suggested (made sure the hands free option was enabled in the settings menu, checked the ford connected apps). I tried numerous times to activate bluecruise and it never worked. Is this something that needed to be set up by the dealership?
It does take Ford a few days to enable the Blue Cruise connected service AFTER you've enabled it.

In the FordPass App, click on the person icon to go to the Account page. Then click on Connected Services. Complete any additional setup. This should show different connected services, BlueCruise is at the bottom of my screen. After I purchased the Mach-e, this showed --/--/-- for a few days. It then changed to an expiration date 3 years after the purchase date. At this point, BlueCruise started working in the car.

I hope this helps.

What kind of graphing calculator do you have that plays YouTube?

Interesting, I may have to try that, but I had not set up my profile to begin with. No BC. Go figure? I'm sure I'll get it sooner or later, hopefully sooner.

I just picked up my 2023 MacheE Premium after waiting over 9 months. It's been a long and difficult experience. I bought the MachE sight unseen and never test drove it. I'm relieved that the car drives and handles well. I am coming from a BMW i3 and I really enjoyed how that car drove.

I'm running into 4 frustrating issues with the car:

1. The wireless charger

The wireless charger dangerously overheats my iPhone 12 Pro Max and constantly disconnects. I read that there is a fix for this (https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...y-charger-inoperative-poor-performance.16969/) If this is the case, why doesn't my brand new car have this update?

3. Washed out backup camera
I found that the backup camera was unclear and appeared washed out. My 2019 BMW i3 had a much clearer camera. I can barely see my surroundings when backing up using the camera. Does anyone else have these issues? Is there a contrast setting for the backup camera?

4. YouTube app doesn't support 1080p.
I charged up my car for the first time and put on the YouTube app. I selected a video and changed the quality to 1080p. When I did this I got several dropped frames and laggy content. This is 2023 - my fridge can play YouTube videos better. The Tesla plays cyberpunk and this car doesn't even play 1080 video.
Meh, let us know when your HVBJB fails.

If that happens I’m going to lemon the car.
No you won’t. Because it’ll get fixed and likely be fine, thus no lemon for a one-time, corrected problem. You’ll be fine, are you post-May ‘22 build date?

  1. Yes it should have the wireless charger update. The phone will get pretty warm, but not burning hot (used to). It shouldn't disconnect though, make sure you center the phone on the pad as best you can. Lift up the rubber pad so you can see where the charger area underneath is.
  2. Did you remember to press the steering wheel button to activate lane assistance? You should see the blue bubble around the car. If you only see the { } around the car lane centering isn't engaged. Cruise control also has to be engaged first if you didn't know.
  3. Wipe the camera with a rag. How it should look: https://www.macheforum.com/site/attachments/255db09b-b142-43ee-b273-cc54333efb67-jpeg.57105/
  4. The graphics chip Ford uses isn't nearly as powerful as what Tesla uses. Plus it's also doing rescaling on the fly. Yes, they should probably upgrade it soon. It works fine at 720p, that's what I use. Any higher is pointless because the screen doesn't have the resolution to show it.
I’d also add that when I’m REALLY concerned about watching high-quality video, I’m watching on my iPad, or better, on an LG OLED, not on an LCD display in the center stack of a car.

9 month wait for a 23. Unless it was an April Select order for a 22 upgraded to a Premium the max is 4 months. If PAAK fails bring the app to the screen. That usually works. If not unlock and lock the doors with the app. It’s the phone not emitting the signal. Yes sometimes you will have to fiddle with it. Unlike other cars it has a combination lock to get in. These things either won’t bother you or the will drive you crazy - your choice. All cars that have software have issues. Even Tesla.

Just an update- At the moment all of my issues are still unresolved. Blue Cruise hasn't yet turned on. My friend just took delivery of a 2023 Premium as well and is experiencing similar issues.

I'm going to have to take my car into the dealership to get it resolved.
