Sounds like an excuse for slowing production given that Demand seems to have died off. Anyone else get this for build weeks in July?

Your order signals intent to buy, so it would be bad for them to delay it due to surplus dealer stock. I could see them pausing dealer orders for that reason, but not customer orders.

I got the same email with slightly different words to indicate my in progress build was delayed. The definitely have a template email they fill out.

Yeah I just got the same email. I've got an LFP build, so I'm wondering if that's the bottleneck or some other component. Or maybe it could be like you said about the demand easing off.

I got the same email this morning for my GTPE. The tracking website says that it has been "In Production" since July 5th. I emailed the dealer to see if they had any insight, but they didn't really say much other than it is "standing by for production".

those are standard automated emails from ford for the last couple of years; usually went out about every 45 days. ford should stop sending them now that they've ramped up production and they aren't relevant any longer.

the wait comes in delivery after production... ?

Interesting thing is that my CART-1 trim went into production in May and I got an email a week later that it was finished. This email I got was for my Premium, so I'm wondering what changed in supply chains because it seems the only other change was the slowdown in sales.

it is an automated message from a system that has no idea what is happening in production. in the days of 8 month waits it was a customer appeasement message that has no relevance now.

I've been watching all the active build threads since I placed my order back in March. What I have learned is that there is such wide variations in build and delivery times, you can't make any predictions. One persons GTPE maybe got built in 3 days, when someone else took 20 days to build - even when they are the same build week and next to each other in sequence number. Some folks get delivery in 2-3 weeks, others take 4-6 weeks.

I'd recommend you save your sanity and not speculate why the delay is happening or when your order will actually arrive. Just prepare yourself for a 4-6 month wait and don't check the status or threads daily like I do. :)

Got these every so often, from Oct ‘22 to April ‘23 until my build started. Nothing new, and they definitely wouldn’t delay a potential sale, if they’re having a hard time (they really aren’t)

I got one of these too when mine was already being built. It’s definitely something automated and not necessarily indicative of a true delay. For what it’s worth: started production on 7/13, got that same email 7/15, got an update on 7/27 it was built, and shipped on 7/6

That canned email I received from Ford for a year.

Every other month the same message.

14 months later, finally got her last month.

I got the same e-mail from Ford.
You weren't able to order a Premium model for quite a while; they re-opened ordering on May 3rd, and I placed my order then. On May 18th, I got an e-mail saying it was scheduled to be built the week of July 3, now it's some unknown date in the future.
Why did Ford re-open the orders when they can't even fill orders made the first day?
And why promise a date you can't meet?
I worked in manufacturing for 35 years, and this does not seem like a very controlled process.

The tracker is horribly unreliable. My date was 6/9 but really wasn’t built till 6/27. And at one point it kept flip flopping between built, in production, and “order confirmed” lol. It claimed it shipped on 7/6 but really didn’t until 7/13 when I was able to confirm a rail car number with ford chat. I’ve gone to them for more accurate estimates and up to date info, and then using the rail company to physically track the location

Mine was built on 7-6 and has been sitting since with no updates in Ford’s systems. VINVIEW shows it was probably started and moved on the 23rd, but still in Mexico.

Same with mine. Seems odd that it's been sitting as "In production" since July 5th.
