Profile keeps defaulting to Guest

My wife said it fixed itself while she was at work - took no action on her part. Guess we'll keep the fake profile fix in our back pocket for next time.

Same here. I now have my guest profile matching my own so it isn't as much of an issue any longer. I lose my nav history from one profile to the next but I am living with it. When my wife recovers from her surgery and starts driving it again then she will be totally pissed off when she has to deal with my radio presets. That is a dark storm brewing off in the distance for sure....

Based on personal experience, the wife gets pissed off easily. It is best to avoid pissing off the wife. I know this after 32 years of marriage.

I hope you wife recovers quickly, but not too quickly to be pissed off by this stupid problem.

This has been happening to me recently ever since my car updates to the 3.5.X series. Annoying. I’ve just made the settings the same between the two to mitigate any difference. But now that I know I can turn off profiles, I’ll likely do that. Thanks!

I thought profile issue was resolved with additional profile, that didn’t last long, popped back up yesterday afternoon.

I had this problem pop up today, shortly after receiving the latest 3.5.4 updates. Adding my PaaK phone to my profile seems to have corrected the issue...for now. We'll see how long it sticks!

Once I got 3.5.4, profiles is about the only thing that still works! ?

Correct. I guess the folks at Ford didn't like our back door fix so they made sure to break that too.
At least they are getting more thorough....

The software update a week ago and now suddenly having this annoying problem.

The issue has come back for us as well. Manually setting profile will change seat positioning but light/dark mode and our profile picture isn’t showing.

I always have problems after my wife drives the car using her key.

profiles go to guest and I cannot switch to mine. I have to reboot screen

just happened again. On the bright side car play worked fine this time without rebooting.

Yup. This profile bug and CarPlay not connecting half the time since the last Sync update are maddening.

Really strange how this behaves differently for some of us. Mine used to go to default about 1 out of 10 times. Since I’ve received the 3.x.x.x updates in late October, I’ve not had the issue ever.

I do have CarPlay connection issues, maybe 20% of the time.

What worked for me was just creating another profile, then deleting the new profile. Since then the profiles have been working correctly.
